let's say you have 3 ad spots. And you can't use adsense. But there are several ad networks that perform more or less ok. Would be better to use just 1 network on the 3 spots? or use 3 different networks one for each spot? Since these aren't CPM networks it doesn't matter much the impressions, but the clicks. Is mixing good or should i stick to 1 network?
Split testing is good when you are still searching for that sweet spot. However, if someone is SATISFIED with the rates that a particular network (which is reliable and trustworthy) is providing, it would be better to put your eggs (ad slots) in the same busket (same network) - it would, in all probability, result in higher revenue - be it a CPM or CPC ad network.
Agreed, the biggest benefit of using several networks is increasing your reach. Remember there are millions of publishers out there scattered across thousands of networks... so you need to look to see the traffic your networks are reaching. So far nobody can match LIJIT. i make up to $7~$10 a day with Lijit, all the other networks don't even get close.. CPMStar Started with $3 then dropped to $1,50 (i ditched it) CPMFun around $2.50~$4 dayly (good but often pisses me off with pop ups i didn't ask for) Game Advertising online $1~$2 (ridiculously low) No offense but you guys hijacking my thread don't look very professional to me, and i highly doubt i can earn anything at all with you seeing the hideous techniques you use to attract clients.
