How long does google take to respond to site reconsideration requests now-a-days

Has anyone have had any recent experience?
I submitted a request for reconsideration three weeks ago but have not heard back frm them at all. Submitted a second one 2 weeks ago. Nothing so far.
    Is this normal?
(PS it was for cloaking which I never had in the first place so site is squeaky clean)

Hi, I've had responses within the same day but often it's been where my site was hacked.

Keep writing each day until they're sick of you I guess!

    Good luck, J

Almost always I am get websites indexed and/or reindexed within about 5 days... New Websites and Well Established Websites

< GETTING A WEBSITE INDEXED A GOOGLE, IS NOT VERY DIFFICULT, WHEN A WEBSITE IS PROPERLY OPTIMIZED FOR IMPORTANT FACTORS OF INTERNAL SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION >

IF IT TAKES TOO LONG, YOU MAY HAVE HIDDEN ISSUES WITH SEO, IN THE WEBSITE CODE THAT COULD BE CAUSING A PROBLEM WITH GETTING THE WEBSITE PROPERLY INDEXED AT Google.com

Internal SEO is very important, and proper configuration of SEO Plugins, if and when they are being used for the website.

-- Many websites commonly use Plugins for WordPress to Help with SEO at Google --

WordPress SEO Plugins are nice to use, very popular, and can help with optimizing a website faster and better! If a website is using a SEO plugin for WordPress or any other CMS, and it is not properly configured, the wrong settings can cause issues with search engine optimization at Google, Yahoo, Bing, and other major search engines, as well as issues getting a website to index properly and quickly at Google after making site updates to content, links, and or adding new pages.

It's Really A Lengthy Process. But I am Little Unsure about it. It May be In 2 Weeks, Sometime 3 Weeks or Sometime even within 1 week you get the reconsideration request after getting hit by any Google Algorithm.

What kind of reply did you got? A letter from them?

When I did a request I did not get a reply from them, I just see my site on google search again after they de-indexed

Google is REALLY slow. For example they requested some 'more information' on YouTube from me and I haven't heard back from them ever since I provided that info... 2 months ago.

Kinda lame, and I thought that Paypals email customer services sucked >.<

    Good luck anyways..

On average a few weeks, or up to 8 weeks depending on how many times you've filed a reconsideration request and whether or not you are doing anything they've told you to do.

I had a buddy that kept filing reconsideration requests and literally didn't do much to fix his link profile as they told him to. His requests to 8 weeks every time and he got denied every time.

On the other hand I cleaned up and removed links as Google told me to do and all my requests were responded to in days and at most a couple of weeks. Be sure you are removing links like Google tells you to do and not just disavowing or you'll be doing yourself a disservice and delaying your penalty.

I had requested reconsideration 2 different time and in both case I got the response with 4-5 days.
1st one was in jan 2013 and they told me that no manual penalty was imposed on my site and my site is ok.
2nd one was in Nov 2013 when they emailed me that a penalty for out bound links was imposed on my site. I rectified it and asked for reconsideration very next day, and got the reply after 4-5 days that my penalty has be revoked.

I think I was lucky in both case.

I can say generally they reply with in 7 days max if they want to respond or otherwise you wouldn't get any response from them .

Yeah, 2 weeks is max to wait for a reply. After that something is not right.
I have not heard anything after 3 weeks so to hell with them. Time to move on.

It can take up to 3 weeks ++, as much as 8 weeks.

Don't give up on a website because you aren't patient. Patience is a virtue.

Have you considered starting again? Usually a new site can get indexed within 7 days max, so take your content to the new site and it's sorted. Google rarely replies to re-submission requests.

That's 100% false. Google will respond to every reconsideration request as long as you aren't just spamming requests to them over and over again.
Ranking a new website takes a longer time and requires you to completely start over.
