Cj.com Html Code -> Convert To Urls Question

    This may be a basic question.
    I am a new in CJ.com affiliate program and I find that CJ.com's link code is HTML or Javascript. My problem is that my wordpress sidebar banner widget only allows to input urls. So I need to extract advertiser's website link and image link separately from original CJ.com HTML to create WP sidebar banner ad.
    My question is that it is ok if I extract site URL and image URL and insert them into my wp banner sidebar widget as followings?

    Original CJ.com HTML code with dummy PID and AID.
    <a href="http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-0000000-11111111" target="_top">
    <img src="http://www.awltovhc.com/image-000000-11111111" width="200" height="200" alt="Save 10% off at Therabreath.com Use Code ATB10Off" border="0"/></a>

    In my WP banner sidebar widget,
    Site Link URL : http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-0000000-11111111

    Image URL : http://www.awltovhc.com/image-000000-11111111" width="200" height="200" alt="Save 10% off at Therabreath.com Use Code ATB10Off
    I heard that any change in CJ.com's HTML code prevent the link from tracking properly and result in a loss of commission. If I made WP sidebar banner only with URLs extracted from CJ.com's HTML code, is it true that it can't be tracked and sales can't be counted?
    Thank you for your answer in advance.

    Hi! I always use my own images when it comes to cj.com advertisers. I mostly do leads, not sales, but I have never lost a lead simply because I use my own images. In other words, most of my cj.com codes look like this:

    <a href="http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-0000000-11111111" target="_top">
    <img src="http://mysite.com/image.png" width="200" height="200" alt="Save 10% off at Therabreath.com Use Code ATB10Off" border="0"/></a>
    Code (markup):
    What happens is, it won't count impressions when you're using your own image, but it will count clickthroughs and of course leads/sales. As far as your question goes it is the link
    http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-0000000-11111111
    Code (markup):
    that matters. As long as a visitor goes through it, it doesn't matter where you place it.

    Do you still use the portion of the code from CJ that inserts a tiny tracking image?

    I don't. I know approximately the amount of impressions and click-throughs I get from my cj ads, so those stats are not all that important to me.
