that's a very good question. I see many forms and websites have many .EDU back links, as I am also baffled as to how they got those back links.

Search on Fiverr for EDU and spend 5$ to get 100 edu links. They will give you an list of the links they made. For another $% they will give you the account names and logins that they created, which you can use again for other sites.

Don't ever go for this. It spams your site. Your site would be penalized for sure.

that's what I kind of assumed, but didn't want to say anything at first. How would I know for sure what methods the persons used to build the .EDU backlinks to improve my SEO? I keep asking around as to how to effectively build .EDU backlinks and to be honest nobody is really coming out with the direct answer. I know for sure .EDU links are good to improve search engine optimization, but I want to do things the right and honest way. If you happen to know how to go about doing this, please feel free to share your knowledge in a reply to this thread. Thank you.

You can make use of this code
site:.edu "login or register to post comments"
    Code (markup):
, you can check one of my old thread to use some shortcuts to find HIGH PR sites.

Basically you are asking google to show you sites which are with domain extensions ".edu " by using " site:.edu " and by using "login or register to post comments ", you are asking to google to show you .edu websites which have " login or register to post comments " keyword. So, these are the .edu sites which are allowing their registered users to comment on any post of their site.

    Hope this helps :)

Forgot to mention, you can also place your site link in signature while registering your account with .edu site, and similarly you can use site:.gov "login or register to post comments" for .gov back links and also signature links.

What blogs and websites specifically are you talking about, where users can add their signature links to .edu & .gov?

Of course I would not go with spamming. I am just getting profile links as discussed below, the fiverr job just creates 50-100 of those links discussed below. It's not spam unless you are creating 1000s of them. I have done this for over 2 years and I have not been penalized by Google. It's only part of a larger backlinking plan. I get a coplete list of the links made by the vendor and I check the results in AHREFs after a couple of weeks. I run rank tracker on my keywords every week and I know what works and what doesn't for me.

I had a guy on Fiverr do it for $5. When they wwere complete I got a list of the sites they created accounts on. I can re-use their list to make more or for an extra $5 they will give me the accounts/pwds that they created.

A lot of American EDU sites were spammed to death, and thus today there are quite a few on which you can create backlinks, so you either need to search for them a lot (Scrapebox is the best tool for the job), or you need to pay someone, and Fiverr is a great starting place if you're looking to buy these links.
