    Hi Dionne
The most critical thing to have if you want to have a goal that high is your site must be mobile friendly
An interesting statistic from smartinsight revealed that now in this world there are 4 billion mobile phone which 1.08 billion of it is a smartphone.
This is a big market that every internet marketer should aware of
I check your site before with mobiletest . me and the site not incorporating a responsive design nor mobile version,
so working on your site mobile version maybe can improve your opportunity to reach your goal.
    Good luck with your challenge

Must try with Adsense too, Infolinks is good but can't compare with Adsense. I see you have clickbank, is good, keep trying until you find the secret.

You need a logo, you need a favicon, you need a self hosted website, install wordpress, find some cool themes, activate some good plugins to help you make a good On page Seo and you need a lot of patience. Good luck!

I didn't look at your web site because with the right content, traffic, and work ethic it's entirely possible to make $100k online. Plenty of people do. However, you rarely read stories about the 30 year old who makes $150k off his blog. It's boring.. we like to hear about 15 year old millionaires, cats who have 1 million youtube hits, and college drop outs who make billions. Making $100k is all too common for someone who has great work ethic and consistency.

Having goals are awesome. But you should have tier goals. I use a 3 tier system. Tier 1 is a goal that is easy to achieve. Tier 2 is a goal that can be reasonably reached with time and consistency. Tier 3 should be your long term goal which may seem a little unrealistic before hitting Tier 1. The great thing about the internet is if you can make $100 you can make $1,000. If you can make $1,000, $10k is achievable. And if you can make $10k, $100k is absolutely in your future. Just don't give up and always move forward. If you can't make it with one web site maybe you can make it with two or ten.

    Hi Dionne,
things are not that easy anymore. Say you add 4 articles a week - that is about 20 articles a month. Roughly - 200+ articles a year. So in 2 years time you might end up with 400 to 500 articles. In the past, this could have translated to a lot of traffic - but at this moment content alone will hardly help.

there is seo, there are Google filters and penalties... and there's the pandas and the penguines.

I don't want to discourage you, just saying that the path is pretty tough.

    here's my suggestions:
    1) Choose a niche. Home improvement for example.

    2) Get a brandable domain and a good hosting. Make sure the domain is both small and sounds good.

    3) Be very active, in terms of comments and forum posts on related sites and blogs. Don't worry about building the links alone... try creating a social community around your blog.

    4) Build a social following - facebook/twitter/linkedin/pinterest/G+ etc. Google search is only one of the many ways you can get traffic.

    5) Make a budget - One link from huffingtonpost or independent, nytimes etc. can change things pretty fast. So, if you got money to spend, your progress will be much quicker.

    thanks,
    Uttoran Sen,

I think you nailed it when you mentioned building a list. You want to be able to recycle a lot of the traffic that you receive and monetize it. A little controversy also helps to create a buzz really fast and awaken people's interest. You don't want to create a blog that talks about the same thing thousands of other blogs are talking about.

I remember seeing a guy that came out in the news who is a fitness trainer with 6 pack abs and in perfect shape. He created a blog and gained about 80 pounds of fat on purpose and then set a goal to get back in shape and posted every single detail with videos on how he did it on his blog. His blog became extremely popular fast and I believe he made a lot of money. A little creativity can go a long way.

I read 4 of your posts and didn't come away with any particular reason to revisit your blog. What is it about you that will make this blog so special that it will earn anything at all?
    • you have a special skill?
    • you have a unique perspective on something few of us get to experience?
servant in a royal palace? son of a somebody famous? living somewhere people don't normally live (the vatican, sahara)?
    • you experiment with new tech/ideas and post the results online - like how to get reindexed after a google shakeup in 4 easy steps
Generally the site looks good but so do millions of other "I want to get rich" blogs. That's a niche in itself and you have to find a way to be at the top of the pile.

I'd suggest try browsing similar sites/blogs to glean ideas on how a good money-making-ideas site should look like.

If your site doesn't look like a million bucks nobody is going to believe that they can make money through what you're suggesting.

The shoemoney site has been mentioned probably hundreds of times on this forum. Check it out. It will give you an idea where you site should be going towards: http://www.shoemoney.com
