Vbulletin or XenForo ?

Hello ,
I want to start a forum,but im not sure what is the best :
Vbulletin or XenForo ?
Also i see the digitalpoint has change vb for xenforo .
Thx in advance.

 

I've been a very long time user of vBulletin. Now I'm thinking of moving to XenForo. Just my 2 cents.

 

Xenforo is better than vBulletin. Period.

You can expect the same features of vBulletin but with modern standards and not-so-crappy codes It's developed with Zend Framework which is a very popular PHP framework. Once you use it, you will never come back to vBulletin for sure. vBulletin 5 is a joke! They don't care about customers now whereas Xenforo is a very active community.

 

Xenforo is better imo than vB, both in terms of security and code

 

Yup! I didn't mention about the security. vBulletin compromised it and as a result millions of vBulletin forums were hacked before some months and still they are getting hacked. They are no longer a safer solution now.

 

I'm also thinking to move my vB forum to XenForo after seeing DP is now using XenForo.

I would recommend xenforo too. vB is a has been. It is as good as finished.
