Contest $25 Simple Logo Contest - PayPal - 3 days - Feedback

Hey everyone,

I am looking to get a modern, clean, and simple logo for a game server community. It needs to be attractive, and have the following text:

Style and spacing is all your choice. It just needs to contain our name.

Preferred colors are: Orange, Gray, Black
Orange is a must, even if used just as an accent color.

It can be just a text-based logo, or can include a simple, iconic graphic. If a graphic is included, it should be horizontal to the text, as it will be used in a header.

Transparent background required, preferably vector-based or with a good source file.

johnrossg, I like the coloring and direction you're going in, however I'm looking for something a little more text-based and horizontal in layout. Definitely a good entry, though.

pehulz, I like the layout of the logos, however the coloring and font isn't in the direction I want to go. As for colors, try replacing the blue for gray/black, and making the orange more vivid?

Here are a few examples of what logos I like to guide you guys a bit. It doesn't have to be quite as modern and serious as these, but it's a good direction to follow.

johnrossgd, I definitely prefer it to the last one. However, I wouldn't mind something not so boxed in either.
pehulz, I still like the layout, however I'd cut back on the strength of the gradients a bit, and also use orange instead of yellow.
Josh Sutton, those are too basic.
frikusha, I really like your entry, it definitely has the simplicity and cleanliness that I'm looking for. However, it still doesn't quite capture the style I'm looking for.

Thank you all for your entries. I should also note that ideally, this logo should be about 300px by 100px to fit within the header it's destined for.

 

puttu, you're taking it in the right direction, however the graphic is a bit off-style for it. Maybe something more resembling a sphere/C?
digital_irfan, I love the top one, one my favorites so far.

Here is the revision

 

puttu, they're definitely an improvement. The middle one is nice, however the double text seems a bit confusing. Not sure how you could correct that, though. The bottom one has a nice emblem as well.
Scot Hiller, they're a bit difficult to read and not really the style I'm looking for.
@digital_irfan, I'd love to see another version of the top one with a less sharp M. So far yours is still my favorite.
