Are neobux,clixsense pyramid schemes?

I was reading about these sites and they look like pyramid schemes to me.But when I google about these I found many good reviews about them.

I'm not talking about if they pay you or not.I'm asking whether they are legal or not (coz pyramid schemes are illegal in many countries.)

If you get paid to make other people join the program it's a pyramid scheme right? I'm sorry if I'm wrong. Please someone who knows about this explain it to me.

Bux sites are no doubt schemes; however, neobux is probably one of the few exceptions....
most bux sites fold when they can no longer pay out, and they have no advertisers to keep them going....
So if a bux site does not have money coming in, and they are always paying out, they will fold....
The idea is to pay members to click on ads. We alll know the member just wants the money, they
have little to zero interest in the ads, then the bux site ends up crashing when advertisers see no returns....

"Pyramid scheme - a form of investment (illegal in the US and elsewhere) in which each paying participant recruits two further participants, with returns being given to early participants using money contributed by later ones."

So no, not really - although this definition might change a bit country by country; e.g., somewhere it's regarding how much of the revenue comes from the new members, instead of the revenue of making sales. However as stated by others before, even the legit ones are useless waste of time.

To be able to judge a site to it's full features and propects, yo have to be in this site and not just outside giving a point of view that you read somewhere, saying that neobux is a waste of time just show how much you don't have a clue of what you are talking about.

Neobux is ranked in top 300 sites in the worlw with an approx of 120 millions visitors per month, it' s aportugal based company with servers in USA, so if it was a pyramid scheme, FBI would have take it down long time ago, also, it's fully compliant with Paypal TOS and we all know what does it means. Neobux has paid something like $100m to it's members..... paid or free, doesn't matter if you do have referrals. Neobux does not rely on advertisers only since you can complete mini jobs offered by thrid party companies, thus you can click one link a day, some proof show that Neobux have paid a few people over $1000 just with minijobs

As for clixsense, about the same, main difference is that clixsense runs some other companies such as adhitz wich is the PPC program used by hundreds of PTC/GPT owners to advertise their business just loke google adwords and adsense. One of the latest is Probux and Nerdbux, though the first one remains dark over all remvenues amde, it's been online for over 14 month now and has paid hundred of thousands already and again, some free members with no referrals have already made cash. Nerdbux is own by Timtech LTD and a google search can demonstrate that Timtech has a solid background in internet business.

Indeed, those "big" boys are exceptions, hundreds of PTC opens every year and many of them are not there for long business as dscurlock said, they only base their revenue on advertisers and if no advertisers show up, thei no cash flow. Saying that a PTC is only good for members to earn cash as they are not bothered with sites advertised, obviously if you advertise a simple website just to get visitors, you won't get results but if you advertise wisely a PTC website, you can get a loads of referrals, thus making you cash but still it doesn't mean it's pyramidal scheme, just an affiliate program.

Good information! I will confirm upon receiving my first payment.
About the mini jobs; always ends in error.
    Incorrect code.
    Incorrect answers.
    Time laps.
I shall appreciate, if any one direct me how to attempt these mini jobs?

No, what you describe here is called an affiliate (or referral) program and is legal. It only becomes a pyramid scheme when you are required to purchase or make investments, and the return on that investment comes soley from other members who are also investing.

I dont know about neobux, but clixsense is not pyramid scheme. They make their money mostly from ads and surveys. Most other wannabe clixsense/neobux sites however are pyramid schemes because they barely make any money from advertising and are relying on "upgrades" to pay their members.

Both Clixsense and Neobux are legit... But Neobux is pretty scammy in its own way.

I recommend joining and staying with Clixsense (if you're into PTC). They have surveys and offers you can do, the layout of the site is easier to deal with. Their ads are also worth more.

Neobux's ads are worth ($HT) and their tasks/offers layout is hard to use and pays less too. Neobux makes its money off of your greed (unlike Clixsense). They entice you to "rent referrals".

It's really odd. When you rent referrals while you're a free member, they're always clicking away and earning you money. But after you upgrade to premium, people report they stop clicking. That sorta happened to me, but then again it could just be everyone's imagination since we're subjective creatures.

IMHO, I think neobux gives you the clicking referrals when you're a free member, but when you're a premium and start renting more, they'll start giving you the non-clicking ones... and then it becomes a huge pyramid scheme because your initial investment is on the line, so you try to rent more referrals to make up for the "loss" (like gambling!). Then you have to develop "ways" to recycle your referrals, and see which ones are going to keep clicking and which ones aren't.

It becomes this stupid management job where you've invested over $10,000 (I didn't invest that much, after losing a couple hundred I left). You have to spend 2-4 hours a day "managing" your referrals (e.g.: recycling, renewing...). You also have to faithfully click ads or you won't get revenue from your referrals. SO YOU CAN'T MISS A DAY OF CLICKING. THAT's 365 DAYS OF NOT BEING ABSENT OR YOU LOSE POTENTIALLY $1,000s IN ONE DAY.

So yeah, Neobux is a casino. Clixsense is the real deal.

But both are a waste of your life -- geez, you make more joining a content writing mill that pays $0.02 cents per word, like textbroker than wasting away clicking ads for $0.001.

Your experience with Neobux looks pretty much like a disguised pyramid/ponzi with the whole "renting referrals" thing.

Of course it's a waste of time clicking links for a fraction of a cent, however if you are able to bring in some "real" referrals to clixsense you can make decent money without having to do anything. I setup a blog to promote this years ago and still getting payments from the referrals.

A lot of opinions and information here, but I have to disagree with you on the whole "the FBI would have taken it down by now" with regards to the US criminal justice system and it's afforded agencies. With all due respect, most of them are riddled in complaint requests, websites-reported, and this is arguably an unsafe measure to rely on for determining validity of a website, at best. Imagine the cost to benefits ratio both for LE, but also for OP's question at-hand.

Do as you wish today, but there's no guarantee that companies like this will be there tomorrow. Ultimately, it also relies heavily on where the sites hosted, under what country or state regs., if it's a legitimate hosting set-up or the person's "moving" (on the run or committing crimes outside of country of origin), etc. Hope you were able to make a well-guided decision.
