Need a Paypal/Google Checkout Alternative

Im in the US and got kicked out of Paypal (never explained why), and Google Checkout is closing down in November (2013).

Is there something similar (cannot use Payoneer/Payza/Moneybookers/WePay)?

    WePay is way too insecure.

    Amazon is too limited.

I tried them and they immediately rejected my application, without any explanation (gave them a bunch of personal info too)!

Have you tried Entropay. I have never used them personally but have heard many good things about them. Give them a try.

Have you tried something like Authorize.Net? That might be something that you want to consider for your situation.

I would prefer Authorize.net as best alternative to paypal especially if you sell things online & wanted to have a reliable payment processor.
As you have ruled out all the other possible processors , I would suggest you to try Authorize.net.

From the US? Try Stripe.com for credit card payments. Not sure what you can do for PayPal though, but CC is the next best thing.

First ask PayPal why your account was closed, or check the email you used to sign up. They give an explanation for everything, including the reason for which they give an explanation of the reason for giving so many explanations. What I mean is, figure out what you did wrong, fix it, and continue from there. PayPal is not ridiculously unjust. I'm almost certain (not taking into account some weird mistake) that whatever you did wrong to them, you're going to do wrong again, and the next payment processor won't be happy with it either.

If it's not private, I'd be able to give you a lot more advice on payment processors besides PayPal if you explained what your site does exactly, or provided a link.

Apart from that, I'd recommend just processing your own credit/debit cards (a bit of an expensive and extensive process, but businesses do it all the time). If nothing else, hire a company to code shopping cart software specialized to your site, taking payments through their online Merchant account at a monthly fee, for example.

Paypal, Google Checkout, and other third party processors don't close accounts just to close them. I understand you are selling a physical product. Whatever that product is; it must be against their terms of service. You should keep in mind when dealing with companies like PayPal, Google Checkout, Stripe, or any other third party processor that they are generally risk adverse and will shut down any merchant they feel is in some way violating their terms of service. This leads me to believe that you need to apply for a high-risk merchant account through an ISO/MSP whereby their primary focus is placing high-risk merchants. However, not all high-risk ISO/MSP have the same experience, network, or capabilities, so I suggest you speak with a handful of companies.

Great thread! Joined today to learn just enough to get myself into trouble building my own website, and the amount of material on Digital Point is overwhelming. This was a great start, so thanks!

Are you using WordPress? There are some good plugins you can try too.

Ebyline Payments (this one's new, lets you pay from your wp admin)

WooCommerce payment plugin (if you use WooCommerce only though)

I think all the other ones I've heard about use PayPal. I hope that was helpful!

Gumroad allows you to accept credit card payments from your customers. Since most people with Paypal accounts also have credit/debit cards this would be a good option for you. For a list of more payment processors please check out this eBook.
