Dollar dropping.. our payouts with it!

The dollar is down to 1.32 to 1 euro again.. which makes our adsense checks shrink converting to euros.. you make $4000 dollars and it doesn't reach €3000 euros. It would be nice if Google setup some different adsense headquarters and made payouts in euros and separated some billing between the two continents.

I think most of Google's clients are paying in USD. As such Google won't pay in other currencies.

I will get an exchange rate of about £1 for every $1.95 adsense earnings. :(

But it cancels out because I am going on holiday to the US next week :D :D

I guess most people are effected by this because the dollar is slumping against all the major currencies.

If you deal with big amounts the best solution is to keep US$ currency bank accounts were money is not converted and use this account for US$ merchants.

I do that with my dorectory payments because paypal has that feature.

Unfortunetly google converts my hard earned dollars into pounds before paying me.

I'm so jealous of the Indian webmasters who are living it up on their $30/day earnings.

Yeah, this really sucks. But on the other hand, a lot of American products become cheaper as well....

Google charges $29 to send a US$ check to England????
If you have a US currency account why will the bank charge so much to deposit it?

Actually, the $29 fee is for express delivery. They can post it standard post for free.

I dont have a US currency account. I don't have the need for one, I need to convert the money to £ to spend.

Maybe you should investigate that further.

I have a friend who has a US$ bank account and US$ credit card in his home country, he use the CC for online purchases in US$ so he never have to convert. Obviously some of the money have to be converted at some point.

On the flipside - now is a good time to buy, buy, buy..Services, copy, domains, links. Convert it back and you're doing well.

When I get into the big money then other options will become viable. At the moment its just something to b*tch about.

Like I say, I'm going to texas next week so it should balance out. Texas uses the dollar, right?
