Hi, I'd like to find out what hosting most publishers are using, in order to recommend our newly sign up publishers what hosting works best....it never hurts to give good advise If you use any wordpress/blogger..please specify it in "others". Thanks guys!!
How does knowing who we use prove who is best? All you know is who we are currently with - but not why we stay with them (ie can't stomach the pain of a server move) There are a huge number of hosts in New Zealand, your poll can't hope to be accurate if you don't include the top hosts from each country. Why don't you get a bot to crawl the whois info, pick up the dns data and compile that?
op, are you seeking to be an affiliate? Have you tried any hosts yourself? I really think you should join up with a company first, so that you can give an honest recommendation to others. Most of those on that list, I would not recommend, but I dont want to explain why. @sarahk, congrats on 16k posts.
In the poll you have listed some big names. They have huge number of customers and every hosting company has a certain number of unsatisfied clients. The experience would differ from person to person. Are you running an advertising network? What do you mean by newly sign up publishers?
I'm trying to find out where most webmaster host their website. Yes we're are a affiliate network: verti technology, and website owners will advertise our products on thier webiste, they are refered as publishers.
90% you listed are unlimited and EIG owned crappy webhost.Better to host our website on somewhat better and decent webhost that really work on quality ,not for dollars and referrals .They paid large percent to advertisements and referrals and invest less percent to server quality and user-friendly support .
Yes, exactly. The host I am with is "small" (compared to HostGator and similar) and has very good support. Most problems are resolved very quickly (sometimes within 2-10 minutes). They do have an affiliate program, but I haven't paid attention to it (nor is it constantly shoved in my face in their emails). I've barely had any downtime (measured in seconds rather than minutes - all the support issues didn't prevent my sites from functioning for visitors). For now, why go elsewhere as I'm happy with their support.
I use coconuthost.net.I have been using it since May and it looks like smaller hosts are better as the support is more and quick than some major hosts. I was using hostgator before and changed due to the long hours i had to wait for a response
My vote is for "others" as always. Above mention Hosting providers belong to EIG group. I would like to mention here that WebhostUK LTD is good web hosting service provider as compared to above all companies.
I've got a client on good hosting but there is no control panel access so everytime I want to change email forwarding, add an email, change a subdomain I have to put in a request. They're lightening fast but it's really annoying. I'd never pick a host like that again.
Previously , I was using TMDHOSting Dedicated server in past and now using myhosting.com VPS hosting. I am extremly satisfied with myhosting services and support team with highly competitive VPS rates.
