You could start by not being prejudiced. :)

Due diligence, as always. That's the only way to verify anything.

Here's an interesting dilemma: Nigeria is not supported by most of the online payment systems (Paypal and others). So what sort of cashout fees are international members looking at?

You'll need stats to back up a statement like that. Since you're not providing personal opinion, but are stating it is "the best alternative", you have to prove it.

Edits: screwed up my quote tags. :)

As if that wasn't enough, their Facebook page seems very serious:

    https://www.facebook.com/promo.com.ng

Seriously though, is this ad company developed in Nigeria, by Nigerians? They have computers over there? Has anyone tried Promo Ads Nigeria, and if so, what earnings did you get?

    Ooh, bad marketing choices. :)

Given that Nigeria is a bit of a financial black hole, probably. PayPal doesn't work there, most bank transfers into the country are horribly expensive (withdrawals from Elance cost $25, for example) and the whole country suffers under the "scamsville" title.

It looks like a pretty unprofessional group of people who are trying to give Nigerian site owners an advertising option other than the appalling $0.01 RON CPM they get everywhere else. Nice idea, badly implemented (the marketing at least).

That's a pretty stupid comment. Lagos and other cities are just as advanced as elsewhere. Just because a country's not in the US or EU, doesn't mean everyone lives in mud huts and uses donkeys to get around.

I work with a site that specialises in opening up international options for Nigerian freelance writers (WLE Pro, by the WLE World people) and it's just like working with other countries. They write on their Blackberry or laptop, they produce quality work and so on - the problem is getting paid, because of the lack of payment processors. And, again, the international reputation for scams really doesn't help!
