I listed a website for sale in the marketplace. It use to be PM were the way to talk but I guess in post are now.
My Issue is that people are saying I am listing it to high. I do not understand why they are allowed to do this in pubic vs PM. If you think its to high PM me and make an offer as it states in the post.
I do not understand why there is not a rule against this. Everyone wants something for the lowest price sure but why must you post it in a sales thread.
I do not like to get alerts about a post only to find out they are saying I'm asking to much for the website or domain or whatever it may be. Can we get a rule or something to adjust this?

So I PM the user and they PM me back saying they were not interested. If your not interested why post?

All posts in sales threads should be between potential buyers and seller. Comments made by uninterested parties are inappropriate. When you find such a comment in one of your threads, alert moderation team by using bad post report.

Answering a question with a question is usually a "trick" to pull out more information.
I'd try to phrase my questions/offer to get a yes/no answer after I've supplied most important information prior to that...
    Hope that helps

I'm not Smyrl, but some general tips that might help.

Before making a thread, research the market and make a realistic and objective balance between your expectations and the market. It's like when you build a custom car for yourself: the time and money you invest is always more than it will resell for. Sometimes, a site we [developers] have spent time on developing just isn't worth what we invested into it.

Important things are the revenue of a site (e.g. the past twelve months including to the present and not the potential revenue) and traffic (sometimes even if it's not making money but has proven, legitimate human traffic it's still valuable). Don't expect a site that was making a lot and then in decline to sell for what its revenue was. I think this is where some sellers have problems (too high expectations).

Also, make sure you provide as much information upfront as possible and in a clear way. Re-read a few times to ensure there is no ambiguity (and even get someone else to).

You have to keep in mind that you are not selling to yourself, so what is enough for you isn't necessarily the same for the intended audience.

    Good luck.

I agree with @CloudyVideos post, and really it's all about extra info. I wouldn't let it bother me if I were you. Simply shrug it off and answer their questions as best you can.

As Smyrl said, report it and if it found to be inappropriate it will likely be deleted and the user given an infraction.
