Good day, My client needs a logo and then a business card and letterhead from that. So 3 graphics are needed for a mockup please. Contest Rules: * Please submit 3 graphics in mockup * Please post all mockups inside this thread Company Name: Draw an Idea Slogan/Tagline: bring thoughts to life Logo Style: Abstract; Classy; Business Details: This is going to be a visual thinking company where I conduct workshops training people on how to use pictures (drawing things on paper) to crystallize their thoughts, to generate better ideas, to think more creatively and flexibly, to make better decisions, and to solve problems. Business Target Market: I'm initially planning to launch this at a Primary School level targeting teachers and their students aged 10 to 12 years. I also plan to expand this to the high school level targeting students aged 13 to 16. However, young kids will be my initial target market. Therefore I think the logo should be somewhat playful and fun. Although on the side I will also be conducting some visual thinking workshops for adults in the local community. I therefore need the logo to also be appropriate for an adult target market. I also plan to use this logo for creating brand recognition online. I therefore need the logo to look good on a web page Client Comments: Playful, fun, colorful, but needs to have good branding recognition. Therefore the logo needs to eye-catching yet also somewhat simplistic. It needs to look good in color as well as in black and white. The playfulness of the logo must represent a company that is fun, creative, innovative and yet serious about helping all its customers develop cutting-edge visual thinking habits. I listed down "abstract" for the logo style, but I think what's most important is building the logo around the target market and the key words I listed above. I also think that incorporating a drawing instrument of some kind (pen, pencil, marker) into the logo in a classy way will help get the message across a little better. Maybe even a light-bulb to represent an idea. Also maybe playing around with the tagline "bring thoughts to life" and representing this visually in some way within the logo might also help. Maybe there is a way to bring all these elements together in a simple and effective way without adding a copious amount of detail to the logo. When it comes to "bringing thoughts to life", it's about taking them out of the head and putting them down on paper in a visual way that helps create more clarity of mind.
@Flare97 - You took the words right out of my mouth @tribulant - Working on my design for you now, just mocking it up for you. Should submit today or tomorrow.
$35 for all 3, let me know if you think it's not enough. The business card and letterhead can be very basic using the logo, they don't need to be complicated. The logo is the priority here, please.
Great, that'll be good. If you can at least do the logo, that's good. The business card and letterhead is really simple and it is something I can put together myself using the logo.
I received the first mockup via PM. I prefer the thread though but that's how I received it. The designer will later post the mockup here in the thread as well. It looks quite good and I look forward to seeing more. Thank you guys!
Oooooh, very nice, I love the design, well done. Please go ahead with the biz card and letterhead. It can be basic and simple just using the logo, don't spend too much time on it.
Client's comments regarding this logo: It is definitely not what I'm looking for. It's just a little too serious, and just doesn't attract my attention. It doesn't project creativity and fun. The font is also too straightforward for the image I want the company to project. Also the "boxy" nature of the logo doesn't appeal to me, at least not within this logo design.
I just mentioned the comments from the client. I personally like the logo but the client has his own idea of what he wants I guess. I think he's looking for something "drawn" and more classical. More input from the client: "I hope I haven't thrown you off course. Emailing through these logo designs just got me thinking a little differently about the design. I hope that will be okay and that you guys will be able to come up with something classical and yet creative and fun at the same time so that the logo can capture the essence of the business. Even having a "sketch-like" logo design in the style of Leonardo da Vinci's sketches on the business card I think will work really well."
