Hey guys, After so many trial and error I just made my fist commission through Amazon, But i have a problem in my Commission rate, My rate should be 4% but with my first sale i got 3% !!! Any thoughts ?
Mr.LeGeNd - Congrats on your first sale! It means that what you're doing is working. It is important to understand the commission structure of Amazon as in this case where electronics items yield a commission of $25 per item sold. Also, the commission rates increase depending upon the number of sales and can go up to 8.5% at the highest tier. Hence it is a good idea to promote a mix of low priced items along with high priced ones so that the cheaper items can help increase the units sold while the high priced items bring in the bulk of the money that you earn.
@himanuzo i use amazon because the trust level is very high and this makes the conversation much higher @emvy548 thanks you very much for the great info, i still have many things to learn .
Open affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/help/t5/a6 Last line says 'fees for personal computers are capped at $25'
Yep, it varies depending on the item, limits, bracket you are currently in based on monthly performance and the item. Well done on that first sale though, it feels good doesnt it!
I'm usually in the 7.5% tier but regularly have items that are calculated at odd percentages. Not all commissions will be posted with nice, round values. Some will be less than your listed tier and some will be slightly above it. This also changes as you move up in tiers and your commissions are recalculated. As you can see in this screenshot I just took that the commissions are hovering above and below 6.5%.
Congats for the first sale. Amazon has updated the policy few month ago, any electronics item can earn up to $25 only, no matter how much it cost. Hoe it help.
Hello, I recently made my first sale with amazon too (a digital photogrtaphy camera) but to my surprise the advertising fee was only 1.79%. I have never seen such a low fee anywhere mentioned in the forums. any advise would be highly appreciated. thanks
Amazon affiliate commission works well only if, you make the sales in bulk. Try to find a niche which can make people buy in bulk or purchase addons for. Like Kindle books, parent-kid niche, toys and link them with your most profitable and high commission product. And also remember that Amazon cookies hold good only for 24 hours, so make the most of it.
