My site isn't very old, but it's indexed in Google. I can find the homepage and all the other pages except my blog. None of my blog entries show up in Google even if I search for the title word for word. I can't fathom this. I'm using wordpress.com and my site is thackeraycopywriting.com. Business is going well but I just can't get my site to rank! And I'm worried my blog/keyword efforts are useless if Google isn't going to crawl my blog. The blog URL is thackeraycopywriting.com/categories/blog. Any ideas anyone? All help appreciated! I've submitted sitemap, 'fetched' the URL in webmaster tools. I even have authorship markup on the site. But my blog or 'category' page just won't get indexed. hmmm.
I guess the reason Google is not crawling your blogs is because of 404 issue. The link which you have shared now is a broken link too, when I analyzed your website, I found 8 broken links, fix them, re direct them and you're all set. Hope this helps.
First of all, thanks for the reply! Second of all, I got the link wrong. My apologies. The link is thackeraycopywriting.com/category/blog! Does that still give you the 404? It shouldn't do. But no articles from this page are being picked up by Google even though the rest of the site has been indexed. I really appreciate the help
Oh okay, no problem. This link works fine but when i check for broken links in your website. Link : http://thackeraycopywriting.com/category/blog/ show up as a broken link. Maybe that's why Google is not indexing any of the blogs linked to your http://thackeraycopywriting.com/category/blog/ link.
Thanks, Vijay. Really appreciate you checking that for me. How do I fix the broken link? Could the fact that it's a category menu link rather than an actual page be an issue?
I also just used a link checker (http://www.axandra.com/free-online-seo-tool/broken-link-checker.php) And it returned nothing but ticks and green lights! All ok! Very confused...
@SalParadise1986 Maybe your Robots.txt is restricting those links from crawling, can you check your Robots.txt file contents if you have one??
