Who CANNOT Wait for PR to Update Next Month?

I can't wait for PR to update, so I can see hopefully a lot of my hard work pay off on the directory I started a couple months ago. The alexa is somewhere around 45k weekly average, the 3 month average is 86k currently, so I'm getting some okay traffic. I've been submitting to a lot of directories also, so I'm hoping that both of those combined, I can get at least a PR3 out of the update.

Careful what you wish for! The last toolbar update had several of my sites go from PR5 to PR2. Ouch.

Invested lot of money with the hope of getting good PR for my sites.

I will be doomed if they don't get good PR.

It's always interesting to see what happens (sometimes it does not go the way you expect), but I often think Page Strength from SEO Moz should take out PR as a factor, and then it could be a replacement metric for online usage and reference.

 

I agree with that, my seomoz ranking is much lower than other sites because pr hasnt updated. =[

I agree Chris you never know what your going to get. I'm not sure about the SEOMoz thing... I never really looked at it but I feel Google does a decent job with PR and it's still a good indicator of the strenght of a site.

I of course look at other things when submitting to a directory... I enjoy a directory that is fairly clean and has no site-wide links on it.

 

My biggest regret thus far back when I was a big time newb . Now I have to keep them all there for a year.

 

why PR update so slow? It should do every month...

Btw, does PR related to a domain age or just fully related to backlins? I am not clear about that. Thanks!

Fully related to backlinks - but if you have an old domain it will most likely have pagerank..

 

There is a tool that "predicts" PR. I`ve seen a lot of lame prediction sites which use pretty much identical script that doesnt work but this one worked for me.
There are about 10 google servers that show the current PR. When its time, some of the servers show updated PR while others show the old one. Takes about 2-3 weeks until they all synchronize and it means you can know the PR few weeks in advance.
