Keep posting tea party supporters. Others are seeing how destructive the tea party is and how conservative voices across the country are disgusted with the tea party supporters.

Readers here can not only see how disgusted Conservatives and Republicans are with the tea party but they can see how ignorant and hate filled the tea party supporters here are and how representative these tea party posters are of a hate filled destructive job killing, recession or world wide depression causing extremist radical political orientation.

For ignorance, stupidity, lack of knowledge and automatic knee jerk responsiveness we have this post by Corwin:

Long ago a book was written and became popular called Profiles in Courage. It was written by John Kennedy
Funny. Earl starts off by stating one of the biggest lies the Democrats have ever told!!!

    Toooooo funny....

Corwin: its obvious you never read the book or if you had you are posting an outright bold faced tea party hate filled lie for the dumb ignorant and hate filled supporters of the tea party.

Profiles in courage is a book that highlights actions by members of congress that Kennedy deemed personally courageous by the politician. It highlights how these members of Congress took action based on their beliefs even as they often cost those members of congress in terms of their ambitions or efforts.

Of course you wouldn't know that, Corwin. You clearly know nothing about the book and simply spewed out typical hate filled tea party ignorance and misinformation.

Among the politicians that Kennedy's book highlights and extols is Robert Taft a Senator from Ohio and a member of one of those patrician American families that produces generations of important political figures.

Taft was known as "Mr. Conservative" during his most prominent years as a Senator. Not Mr. Republican...Mr. Conservative. He was essentially a Republican with strong libertarian leanings.

Taft competed several times for the Republican nomination for President. He lost each time. His GOP opponents saw him as too Conservative. He was an isolationist in leanings though supported the US in WWII after Pearl Harbor (but not before that event)

The book highlights one incident in Taft's career. Taft didn't believe in the validity of the Nuremburg trials which sentenced captured Nazi leaders to death. He thought the make up and practice went against every important highlight of the American justice system. He was against the system of prosecutor judge and jury all being comprised of one group.

He spoke up about this. He didn't have to. Americans, Republicans and Democrats widely disagreed with him. His viewpoint was incredibly unpopular. Needless to say that perspective cost him in subsequent runs for the GOP presidential nomination in 1948 and 1952.

Taft had to realize this, even as he spoke about his perspective at times when he didn't even need to raise the issue. It cost him politically.

Profiles in Courage considered his perspective worthy of mention.

Obviously Corwin you don't know any of that. But it didn't stop you from making still one more incredibly dumb ignorant comment that is completely untrue.

Meanwhile the government shut down caused by the tea party has recreated the misery of the recession for hundreds of thousands of Americans who work: http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-shutdown-worker-impact-20131012,0,699148.story

The Republican party brought us the great recession that threw millions of people out of work. Now they brought us the Shutdown which is spreading misery across the country. The simple fact is that the GOP is a serial economy killer.

and another set of comments from the real world. Again its from a deeply conservative commentator:

    20 signs you’ve drunk the Kool-Aid
There has been, to put it mildly, some mass self-delusion going on in right-wing circles. Here’s how to tell if you are suffering from the ill-effects of the echo chamber:

Sen. Ted Cruz (Jim Lo Scalzo / EPA)

    1. You think Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) has it nailed when he tells the Value Voters Summit that the Dems are “feeling the heat” in the shutdown fight.

    2. You think the problem is Ken Cuccinelli isn’t conservative enough.

    3. You think if only the shutdown went on longer the GOP would win this fight.

    4. You think poll numbers showing the plummeting favorability of Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Cruz’s 2-to-1 negatives are “skewed.”

    5. You think that if the GOP doesn’t win the shutdown fight it will be because of the mainstream media.

    6. You think Americans want to shut down the government to get rid of Obamacare.

    7. You think the problem is that Cruz didn’t talk long enough or that the media didn’t cover his 21-hour speech fairly.

    8. You think the right-wingers who lost Senate races in 2010 and 2012 should run for the Senate in 2014 because the GOP “let them down.”

    9. You think it is better to have 30 “true conservatives” than 51 Republicans in the U.S. Senate.

    10. You think Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) had it wrong when he backed immigration reform and right when he went to bat for the shutdown strategy.

    11. You think the biggest threat to the GOP is politicians like Gov. Chris Christie and Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.). You think it’s about time someone primaried Sens. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) or John Cornyn (R-Tex.) from the right.

    12. You think the GOP should have stood pat on the shutdown.

    13. You think Hispanics will never vote for Republicans so there is no use in pursuing immigration reform. You think it is fine for the GOP to win elections relying almost entirely on white voters.

    14. You think Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) is a sell out because he thinks repealing Obamacare can only happen by electing a GOP Senate majority and capturing the White House.

    15. You think Sens. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) and Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) have betrayed the conservative movement.

    16. You think the GOP needs candidates like Ted Cruz to run in for Senate places like Michigan, Virginia and Colorado.

    17. You think the GOP would have done better with Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum or Ron Paul as its 2012 presidential nominee. You think Santorum blew it when he stopped talking about contraception.

    18. You think Republicans should run hard at the national level on a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage.

    19. You think President Ronald Reagan would decry compromise and support primarying the Senate minority leader.

    20. You think right-wing talk radio hosts are a good barometer of American public opinion.

If you answered “yes” to more than half of these, it’s time to rethink your political assumptions.

Lots of politicians write a book. Hitler wrote Mein Kampf. Che Guevara wrote a few books, one specifically on how to butcher civilians.

The readers and believers in such books normally
    • Fail to understand the book but simply chose believe in what they think it said
    • Understand the book but ignore parts they disagree agree with/parts that put the author in a bad light
    • Lack the biographical knowledge of the author to put the words in context
    • All of the above
In that spirit, some fun facts about Mr. Kennedy.
In other word's, Earl, the man you seem content to quote as an authority on courage was a philandering syphilitic elected by organized crime whose political views, at least in terms of the economy, were to the right of the tea party. You should think about that next time you prostrate yourself in worship at that altar.

The book Profiles in Courage is an apt description that distinguishes between members of today's House GOP and various politicians over time that voted their conscience for the greater good.

There are about 40-50 GOP members of Congress who from a wide variety of analysts are described as cowards. They are the sheep. They are afraid to cross the tea party line.

    Its such an apt comparison.

How do the tea party mouth pieces respond?

One comes up with an incredibly ignorant comment. It shows his biases and political perspective have zero to do with any knowledge whatsoever.
The other attacks the writer of the book.

Meanwhile there remain 40 cowardly members of the GOP House that won't vote their conscience, know that the shutdown is harmful, know that not raising the debt ceiling would destroy America's credit worthiness and cost all Americans enormous money over decades and are simply afraid of attacks from the tea party mafia.

It is why they have been branded cowards by many independent analysts including writers from the Right Wing perspective.

LOL. Are you aware that if someone decides to write a new edition of that book, Obama will never be mentioned in it?

Obama in his first year of his presidency because of Bush miserable failure had practically free hands to make a real change in USA politics. What did he decide to do instead? He decided to be a good uncle Tom.
The situation with USA and tea party is very similar to Germany and the period between the two world wars when the ultra conservatives in Germany decided to use Hitler and his party to control German politics but later lost the control over him. Tea party started as storm troops of some ultra conservatives in the GOP but it seems they have lost the control over them.;):)

Lies! Barack Obama represents a calm voice of reason as a champion of civil liberties in America. As a Senator, he spoke out vehemently against raising the debt ceiling, the patriot act, deficit spending, holding and executing people without trial, and spying on the American people.

Sure, now that he is the president he is hand picking who he wants to execute on a daily basis, using law enforcement to create a chilling effect on the media, endorsing NSA policies that allow them to read every last digital communication in the US, demonizing anyone opposed to raising the debt ceiling as a "Terrorist", and calling for more deficit spending, but that all isn't because he is the largest hypocrite on the face of the planet. Oh no.

Truth be told, Obama calls for all the things he campaigned against as a Senator because, only in the term of his presidency, the need for all those things became real. That is why people like Earl represent a full 40% of Americans who also used to oppose all those things, only now to give full throated support for the very policies they opposed. The whole situation is now different! Dont you get it?

I have to wonder how Kennedy would feel about Obama's squeeze of WWII veterans to score political points. I thought the pictures from thousands of Vets who marched on Washington and forced their way into those monuments were pretty stunning.

They then took those barricades from the War Memorial and dumped them at the fence in front of the White House. Classic!

While the country at large continues to lose work and a potential world wide financial crisis is day's away, the tea party inflammatory Public Relations team continues to pump out inflammatory info for the members of the cult that have drank the kool aid as referenced above by a conservative commentator: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thr...ails-the-country.2680773/page-4#post-18758569

meanwhile what is so interesting about the cult tea party PR machine is that as they send out their messages of anger and hate they somehow completely ignore the overwhelming hatred exposed in their staged made for TV "protests". yet here is one of their "protesters" who proudly waves the symbol of racism for all to see while at the staged protest in front of the white house.

While adults are trying to stave off a world wide financial crisis, the tea party agitates a bunch of angry people and stages an event to pipe into the tea party cult following.

(If this isn't like al queda...what is?)

    South Carolina State Capitol

I'm confused Earl. Are you claiming the State Government of South Carolina is Racist, or are they Al Queda, or both? You seem very confused. In your mind, does racism = Al Queda? You clearly equate the Stars and Bars to racism. Perhaps you want to go back and relitigate the civil war, and kill off all the people in the south? What EXACTLY are you advocating for here?

Day after day. And each day...more and more Americans are deeply unhappy with how republicans are handling the budget, shutdown, threat of default.

Now Even a Majority of Republicans aren't happy with how Republicans in Congress are handling the shutdown.

Lets repeat that: A MAJORITY OF REPUBLICANS DISAGREE AND ARE UNHAPPY WITH HOW REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS ARE HANDLING THE SHUTDOWN:
Only 21 percent of the population approves of what the GOP is doing. That is the tea party contingent. Its a minority. Its a shrinking minority. Now its a minority perspective in its own minority party.

74% of the entire population disapprove of what the Republicans are doing in the Congress. That is a huge majority. Its huge.

Supposedly a deal is close to being cut in the Senate. If that occurs once again it will have to go before the House for approval. The leader of the House, Boehner can put it before the House or not. The current "Coward Contingent" of Republicans who have voted with the tea party for fear can vote for an agreement that keeps the US from defaulting or they can continue to be led by the nose by the minority extremist cult. We'll see what happens.

Poll: Less than half of Republicans approve of party's budget strategy
By Mario Trujillo - 10/14/13 03:35 PM ET

The public’s approval of congressional Republicans' handling of budget negotiations continues to plummet as the government shutdown enters its third week.

A Washington Post/ABC News poll found that for the first time during the shutdown, less than a majority — 49 percent — of Republicans approve of their party’s handling of negotiations.

The poll finds only 21 percent of the public overall approving of the GOP’s handling of budget negotiations.

Seventy-four percent disapprove of Republicans tactics in budget negotiations. That is a 4-point spike since last week and an 11-percent hike since just before the government shutdown. Fifty-four percent of the public “strongly” disapprove of Republicans, while 20 percent “somewhat” do.

Those numbers mirror polls by Gallup and The Wall Street Journal last week that found the GOP’s rankings at record lows.

President Obama’s approval rating in budget negotiations also sank Monday after seeing a slight uptick last week from centrist Democrats and independents.

Obama’s approval rating on the budget hangs at 42 percent, a 3 percent drop since last week when he actually saw his numbers rise. Fifty-three percent of people disapprove of his handling of negotiations, 2 points higher than last week.

Among independents, 58 percent disapprove of Obama, while 76 disapprove of congressional Republicans.

Thirty-three percent of the public approve of congressional Democrats' handling of negotiations, a 2-point dip from last week. And 61 percent disapprove of congressional Democrats, including 44 percent who strongly disapprove. That is unchanged since last week.

The poll surveyed 1,010 national adults and holds a sampling error of 3.5 percent.

Earl, I don't know if you are getting paid by the post, but it is starting to look a lot like spam. You threw out that idiotic troll claiming the vets who marched on Washington against Obama are somehow racist because some idiotic Democrat attended the event carrying the flag that flies over the capital building of South Carolina, and when I called you out on it, you just dropped it and moved on to more inane nonsense without so much as a response. The only conclusion I can come to is that whatever the house Republicans are doing is working, because you are climbing up a tree.

Here is one prediction that I can guarantee. This debt showdown will not end without our intransigent and failed leader making some concessions. He should have known that going into it, but common sense in that man is as hard to find as hens teeth. The man is just a biggity carpetbagger and you know it.

Glad I am not the only one that noticed this. lol :)

Obama has done a great job at dividing this country, and some people (like the one up above) continue to scratch their heads as to why we continue to spiral downward.

Earl, face the facts, Obama was voted in because of radicals (like yourself) flocking to the voting booths.

A proven, honest business man, couldn't even get a chance at the job. Obama is doing a complete sh*t job, but hey why not vote him in again to "see what happens".
