PR hasn't been updated since February and just two days ago Matt Cutts announces they would not be updating it for a while, if ever again. I, personally go after high DA/PA/Trust metrics when looking at obtaining a link.

A good way to find links is to first determine what type of link you want then scrape a list together and analyze the metrics of each domain. For directories I go to popular free/paid directories and use scrapebox on the "directory" sub-category to get a list of directories. I then import it to various tools to determine which link is worth more than the other.

I can not agree with you about your 3. point. Fiverr backlinks are not worth money spent. Bunch of low quality backlinks, mostly forum profiles or websites with big number of OBL.

You could try here on forum, but you need to be careful. My other suggestion to you is try on Linkworkers website.

 

better buy than exchange if you dont want to place backlinks to other sites on your website. you can buy in forums or services that offer you to purchase them, buysellads, microworkers, linkworkers, backlinks, etc... just google it!

 

If you write good content you can get high PR links just by asking. I recently got 3 links from a UK university. 2 on PR4 pages and one on a PR3 page. Firstly you need to make sure the content is good and would be useful to the sites you want to link to you. Then try to find a contact and write a personal message to them, explaining the benefits of your site.
