Hello, I have a question, what should the seller do when the buyer is not paying after winning the auction? Thanks
Good to know no one bothers to reply. What's the point of having an auction system integrated when there is no support for it?
It's been answered many, many times... if the auction is using Instant Pay, and it's been more than 7 days, just report it. So that users can sell things I would assume...
This is how it is explained so many many times? What if the auction is not using instant pay? What will happen if I report the thread after 7 days? If someone is offering a service, offers support for that service too, I'd assume...
If the sale isn't done via Instant Pay there isn't a lot we can do on our end since we have no way of knowing if the transaction did or didn't happen. Using Instant Pay would let us see if it even happened, if there was a dispute/chargeback, etc.
Not sure that really scales well... but if you would like to assist and handle doing that for the 1.3M existing sale threads, feel free. Also, be sure you get proof it was unpaid from each seller somehow (not sure what that proof would be) since there's also the issue where the seller can lie about someone not paying when they actually did in order to get them in trouble for whatever reason (maybe they weren't happy with the buyer for whatever reason).
Welcome to Digitalpoint! Reality is far different and much better than this over populated forum. I do sell domains and websites to other sites (including forums) and when (if) a buyer does not pay for an auction moderators do their job. At last they show interest to solve the problem. Look at the situation here... The overpopulation of the forum is not my problem. Do I have to do your job as well and tell you how to manage the forum? If you are not able to offer a quality service, maybe you should step back for someone else to do it. And just for an update to everyone who will read this thread, nothing was done. So just bid anywhere and don't worry if you can pay or not (exclude those threads with instant pay button)....
We can do it "correctly". We give users the ability to do it with Instant Pay. If a user chooses not to do it how our system works, it's really the problem of the user. At some point, we may just disallow people listing stuff without Instant Pay... that might actually be the best solution.
Because PayPal APIs only work with PayPal business or premier accounts. Which makes sense really since PayPal personal accounts are not intended to be used to sell things. https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/helpcenter/article/?solutionId=11828
So you are doing online business (buying/selling domains) on personal accounts and still crying, why this automated stuff doesn't work :O
I never realize the reason was the puppy. (The puppy is so cute, though) I was thinking maybe the member think bidders were forced to use business PayPal account to pay the products/services (which surely wasn't true). Bidders whom placing bids and never return is just bad member whom trying to ruin the sales thread. Luckily, the new system is good enough to protect both parties (buyer and seller).
So, this is the way you act (by crying) when something is not as you want?! Seriously, why did you even reply to this thread? It is really stupid to point the finger to the seller about this BIG issue digitalpoint has. As a seller, why should I be so limited in using ONLY paypal as payment method, and more specifically business account? It is not the sellers problem, digitalpoint staff is not able to manage the buying/selling section. I wasn't going to reply anymore to this thread because of it was not going to resolve anything. My case was a pure bidder not paying and replying to messages and on top of it it is a "premium" member. https://forums.digitalpoint.com/members/icex999.621499/ Now regarding to Fakher's post, I don't have any reason to cry, in fact it would be pathetic to even think about this. I am frustrated because I reported the thread auction, opened this thread too and seems no one from the staff bothered to do something. At this point I can say the situation is out of control, why? Because the second auction thread of mine went the same way https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/proxy-list-site-with-premium-keyword-domain.2681965/ the difference was, the bidder replied once to my message. There is no need for pointless, sarcastic posts.
