Good high quality converting traffic which can be specifically targeted to my choice demographic? SEO and PPC, especially SEO after Google Algo updates, the competition drops like flies.
on our blogs, 80% of our traffic comes from Twitter and facebook while 5% comes from google (though those stats are taken on a one month old blog) and 10% from other sites
Try as many as you can and you will see what suits you best. For someone, Article marketing is top, but for me it's boring and annoying - so for me it's not top. Just try few free methods, then you can do Paid Traffic Sources. PPC can be quite good, but you have to learn how set apart junk and wifi traffic. Video Marketing and Forum Marketing are my favorites among free traffic sources.
Honestly the best way to get traffic is good old fashioned SEO (and this is coming from someone who sells traffic!) Paid traffic is useful in the short term but if you want to create a long term income from your sites spend some time learning the art! It's an uphill slog but it's worth it. Youtube can be good as well if you do it right, ranking videos is a lot easier than ranking websites for the most part...
i use stumbleupon to flood my blog with traffic. Currently i have stumbled over 100k web pages and every time i submit any webpage to stumbleupon and share it with my followers, it gets viral instantly. Currenlty i get more than 15-20k daily page views from SU only Can you give me a little more insight into what exactly you do? I certainly haven't been able to get these kind of results with SU. Do you find the traffic converts?
My favourite is Solo Ads, sure it's paid traffic but it's quite effective if you know how to use it. And the best free traffic source for me is Social Media.
As many members said ,Forums and social bookmarking sites etc.. are good source for traffic to your site ... But ! do you have optimized landing page ? is your content unique ? did you optimized your content from A TO Z ? Do your visitors revisit your site again and again ? do you promote profitable content ? what I mentioned above could assist for increasing your site traffic and generate for you organic lines of traffics ! Good luck
I gotta agree with this, If you are able to push out quality and fresh content on a regular basis, traffic will come to you. It might not be as quick as PPC but it would be good and quality traffic that will last for a long time. Also a "#1" way to get traffic really depends on what niche you belong and what your website offer.
Develop one by putting out articles and contacting potential business partners to see what you can offer them that will be mutually beneficial. Facebook and even yahoogroups [still] are some other free ways to generate leads.
The fastest way is definitely buying it in some form, or advertising - have you tried Outbrain. If your headlines are good and articles are well written, you might do well that way. But you'll have to pay.. The free forms of advertising, I've definitely found that Reddit or Stumbleupon have been the fastest and easiest.. Better than forum commenting/blog commenting, which is good but takes time.
Depends what you're promoting. Sales pages? Funnels? => Paid traffic. Niche websites? Your blog? => Forums, comments, yahoo answers, social media, SEO. It's that easy.
If you need good quality traffic then the only solution is GOOD CONTENT. Not only GOOD CONTENT but also what VALUE your are providing with your content. Google Algorithm update is always based on BETTER USER EXPERIENCE. So, say big NO to any shortcut, black-hat or any other mischief. If you are genuine to your reader, traffic automatically come. This what I experience in my whole career of blogging. Other than good and valuable content, social media is also a big source of traffic. So, it need to work-out on these factors in order to achieve better result in traffic. Thanks!
Forum posting and blog commenting can definitely bring decent amount of traffic. Social content sharing in Gooogle +, facebook can also bring good amount of traffic. Classifieds also brings good traffic.
