Question About Quantity of Posts

I want to start a website in the niche of YouTube marketing.

My plan is to create a bunch of content, write an ebook and then launch the site with all of this with the goal of building an email list and making money from selling the ebook.

My question is, how many posts (i.e. free content) should I write, in order to appear to have authority on the subject, rather than looking like some random person on the internet trying to sell an ebook?

    30 posts? 50? 100? 500?

Also, would it be a better idea to create a membership site with free content for non members, or free content with a paid ebook?

    I appreciate any responses.

Guess that it depends on the audience and the quality of your posts. Think that you will feel when it's time yo start. People should trust you, so give them useful information which they really need.

You will hear this 1000's of times but you will get far greater results from the quality of your post, then the quantity.

A great way to do this is give your audience real live examples of you ranking videos to page one of Youtube and generating traffic. Then give them a step by step guide on how they can do the exact same thing... I would do this all for FREE.

Remember the more value you give to your prospects, the more they will know, like, and trust you.

After you give them all these helpful tips and tricks about Youtube marketing -- then you can maybe create a product showing how you find great keywords, how you rank them, then how you make money off your videos.

    Hope this helps :)

Personally and I think many marketers and bloggers would agree that 10 high quality posts is way better than some random 30 or 50 blog posts. Don't think about the quantity for now. Even if you have 5 posts in your website as long as they're very very valuable to the readers, you will not have a hard time capturing their attention and you can get them to subscribe in your list easily. Quality is still the most important thing. I would rather go for a site that has a couple of high quality posts than one with plenty of rubbish materials.

Make a daily post for about 6 to 8 months and you should be good.
