Hi, I am using both Statcounter and Google Analytics for my blog. While I check my traffic count the two results are different. Statcounter shows 100 visitors on the particular date. But Google analytics show only 22 visitors. now my questions is which count is real? Regards, Roger
Google Analytic update/refresh on every second and count real active visitors on page. while other counters mostly have some cache or session limit and count all visitors like i visited the web page and left it it will show you me as online for some time.. so only trust Analytic for 100% accurate results
Google Analytics is better. But since when I engaged on building high pr network, I don't use any google service now like analytics and webmaster. I use statcounter since last year when penguin update came, people were advising this and I followed them. Since then, I am ranking websites well.
The bad thing about analytics is if u place the script at the end of ur site then u might lose some of ur visits as some users stop loading a website w hen the content to be used is loaded .....
Nothing better that Google's own services as they effectively can eliminate different bots and shoe you the real people count who visited your site. Also as recommended for more accurate results put the tracking script in head section of the page.
Google analytic refresh on every second and you can also see real time active visitors over there, Basically we have used two types of tool for visitor analysis. 1. Script Based tool 2. Log Based tool So I will suggest you to choose the script based tool like Analytic to get a better result. In case of script based tool, we are able to find out the accurate number of visitors because it totally depend on your session and cookies. Hope this will be useful to you.
@Jesse12 now only heard about Script Based tool. so most peoples are in the sides of Google Analytics. Ok thanks for the clarification
