Examples of Ad Placement on WP Theme?

I am looking to create a new sports themed site, and would like some examples of ad placement on a WP theme. Just wondering what the most effective placement of said ads would be, how many to have, etc. This site is expected to be a 500+ page site, initially. (Could quickly reach 2500+ pages, so lots of content)

My site, when up and running, will feature: articles, sports medicine stories, and a player profile database. The profile database will be a CMS of some sort, integrated with the same theme as the WP blog site.

    Thank you for you help.

If you would be using Google adsense then you can put maximum of 3 text/graphics ad along with 2 inline ads on a single page.
Most effective and efficient place to put your ads is header and just below post on every page.

    Regards

Do you have an example page that shows this? I basically want to see the styles, and how (specifically) I might integrate it into my WP theme.

    Thank you.

I have no theme, at the moment. I'm actually trying to find an effective theme. I'm assuming that the placement of the ads would trump the aesthetic of the site. (not really assuming, just making that point)

Form follows function - that was the first rule of design that they taught us...

The highest converting place for ads, in my 4 years of blogging experience, is right near an actual blog post. either on the top of it, embedded in it, or under it. put it near the content, and blend it with the colors of your site. as long as you have plenty of traffic you'll get lots of clicks.

ninjamtlt1 - your placement seems so inconspicuous. Are your ads fairly successful? Mind you, I'm not asking for specifics in $, but I'm curious to know what kind of traffic one can get to ads of this nature. Sorry if that's a bad question... Newbie asking newbie stuff...

If you can spend a lot then go for the best Genesis Theme or else you can go for a premium theme which is effect. The best thing that you need to look at is its inbuilt features like SEO optimization, Loading Speed, Ad placement etc.

    Cheers

You can have a look at this http://my.studiopress.com/themes/genesis/ to know more about Genesis Theme. Once you have Genesis Framework you can go for any of its child theme.
