Im wondering, as a new (ish) boy if I can post in my blog about a subject, product or service that I can earn from when visitors click through and buy or as lead generation etc.

I have seen people post about using Amazon affiliate to do something like this but im a little unsure of how it works.

Any help will be good thanks

    Hi,

It sounds like you're talking about linking to an affiliate link within your blog post, right? Yes, you can do this and there are many bloggers who do this and generate revenue from the links. However, this works best when the post is actually adding value. Meaning you want people to actually be learning something too within your post, not just linking to an aff product for the heck of it.

I've found the best way to do this is by doing a review of an affiliate product you like or doing a tutorial of an aff product showing your readers how to effectively use the product, tool or service you're linking too.

I hope this helps you. :)

Thanks, that does make it a little clearer, how do you best choose the affiliate. Do I just sign up to a provider and choose whatever suits the subject Im talking about.

Im feeling a little dim ;-( Thanks

I would suggest that you create a blog specific for the product so you don't mix them all up. It's up to you. You can also just create one blog and then promote different products from there. Just make sure, they're all pretty somewhat related to each other. If your niche is internet marketing for example, you only should be promoting internet marketing related products.

Or I would suggest that you create a blog, make the posts as helpful and valuable as possible and trying your best to pitch there. Then, you can just have an optin form to collect your subscriber's email addresses. Then you can email them sequence of emails to promote different niche related affiliate products.

Affiliate links are great to use in blog posts. YOu basically need to make sure you have plenty of traffic coming in, and make sure the offer is targeted to the type of traffic you have.

the problem that you have to have many visits is not enough to have a blog.
