Feature Optional Restrictions On Sales

There are a few new restrictions sellers can put on their sale threads...
    • Bidder/buyer must have linked PayPal account
    • Buyer Rating must be at least xxx
    • Bidder/buyer must be in specific countries
    • Bidder/buyer must be a specific group of users (basically for things like auctions where you want to have pre-approved bidders)
It's all available when you are creating a new sale thread, and it's ALSO available if you use the "Edit Sale" option to edit an existing sale thread.

This was surely required. Everyone who is there on DP and wants to buy the websites should link their paypal. This will surely bug off those who don't have even a single post on DP but they surely bid on the websites but will not buy them at all.

    Kudos!! Thanks Shawn!!

This is indeed a great feature for seller, but may not be the case for legit buyers.

Good idea. This will be very helpful to find out and also filter out the troublesome buyers. Like it.

I am not sure if this is doable. Rather than having Pre-approved bidders/buyers, wouldn't it be better if we have an option to have pre-"restricted" buyer/bidders so that only the users we mention "cannot" bid on our sale threads?

It's something I thought about, and might do that too at some point, but that's a completely different use than the pre-approving...

I was thinking a little more about the best way to handle when you don't want specific user(s) to buy something. I would *think* that for the most part, that block would apply to everything you sell, not a per item basis. Like would you ever want to block a certain user from buying just one thing, but not others?

In that case, maybe it should be something you set on your account, not on the sale?

i like the idea of preventing anyone in your ignore list from being able to see your auctions, (and or prevented from bidding), I mean, if you take the time to ignore someone you clearly dont want to do business with them.

Yeah... that was my thought too... it's kind of where I was going with my previous post about having it be account-specific rather than sale specific. And the ignore system is already in place, so...

The system will disallow users on your ignore list from being able to buy/bid on anything of yours now.
