vBulletin License

Hello.

I am starting a new forum. So I bought the new vbulletin license for the same. I opted for "Owned License" for $160, because it says I can use it forever. But when I finally go to download page I see expiry date of "Dec 06th '07". does that mean license will expire on that date?
Anybody who is already using vb?

 

This license will not exipre.

You will no longer have access to the updates after that date.
If you want to continue ,updating afterward,you will need to pay 30 dollars.

That is what I was expecting.

 

I do believe that you will get the security updates in the topic attachments even if you're not paying that extra 30$ every year.

 

You will get security updated/patches, but not version upgrades.

I'm pretty sure we've already established that. You own the license and get security updates, just not version updates.
