He is an SEO expert. Procedures where not black hat too. And yes, it happened around a Google Page Rank update too. He did things which bypassed the panda and penguins which really affected the SEO, particularly the link building industry.
I remember that it took almost 1 year for my site to get pr3 from pr0. But I am not aware if your site is new or old and at prsent what methods are you using for link building. If you can provide other information as well then i can provide you some suggestion. Thanks, Rinku
PR hasn't been updated since February and might not update ever again. Is there a reason why people on these forums really go after PR right now?
May I ask why you'd like your site's PR bumped from a PR1 to a PR3? I have many PR0 and PR1 sites that outrank many PR5 and above sites in the SERPs. You just need a good backlinking strategy to get you there! And good on-page SEO, of course. Yes, buying links is an option, but this is not always the answer. If you'd like to learn how to implement a good backlinking strategy that works, have a look at this video: This method is fairly spot-on to the backlinking method I use to rank my new sites (with much success). Hope this helps! - Bill
Nice footprint cborgers! I tried one and it was, indeed, dofollow! Now, the improvement would be to do the same search but also grabbing the PR of the blog, then sorting by PR and posting to the higher PR domains. (Making sure you have a balance of nofollow/low PR domains as well, of course, so as not to stand out like a sore thumb.) Personally, I'd do this with Scrapebox and expect to have a great list of niche-relevant, high PR domains to post to in short order (If you want to get Scrapebox, it's $97. Unless you use this link: http://www.scrapebox.com/cheapskate in which case it's $57! You will also need some proxies for Google work so allow for that cost too. SB uses the proxies in turn, to save getting your IP address banned by G. You must set DB to use only 10-20% of your total number of proxies at one time. Ten will do - but takes longer. 20 is better if you can. Use Squid Proxies or Buy Proxies.) Have fun with that footprint OP! It's a great way to get some high PR links. BUT don't get all your high PR backlinks from Intense Debate - that's a red flag to Google. Mix it up with other sources of high PR backlinks. Eg you can reverse engineer your competition by getting the backlinks of the top ten for your Keyword (ahrefs is best for this - in terms of how many backlinks it gets you - then Majestic SEO, then SEO Spyglass. Free software can be used: but will only return 10% of the links at best.) Now you have got the backlinks, sort them by PR descending (the software I mention will get the PR for you, or use some other software such as Website Auditor) then pick out the ones you can post to yourself - eg forums? Directories? WP.coms? Now you have good backlinks from a variety of sources. Good luck with the target Malc
Do guest posting, blog commenting and submit your articles in article directories. This way you can get backlinks. And this will increase your PR.
I think you have to be a bit cautious with those approaches, Irshad321. Blog commenting has been blown to hell by Scrapebox is isn't what it used to be. And Panda downgraded most article directories in 2012. I don't think you'll much of an uplift in PR from article directories Blog comments on sites with good PR are still good. And a good tip is to put the RSS feed of a popular blog into http://blogtrottr.com/ and it will email you when someone posts so you can be first to comment - and so get most traffic back to your blog Malc
