both are good. it depends where you get some promotion codes so you can have a domain at some discounted rate.
There are many members who share Promotion codes on DP.Try to search friend,

Well, for me i like namecheap,i always got a very low cost .com from there
few i got from godaddy and both are fine...

Bouth! There is this extenssion for firefox called Honey that when you get at the checkout on Godaddy it finds you promo codes and applys the best one. There is another one called Coupons at Checkout that works da same way with Namecheap. When at Namecheap checkout click the empty code box to the right and the availeble codes will show.Cheers!

I use Godaddy and it seems too secure and reliable, it has great features, for selling and buying domain names it is a great place too.

My vote would have to go with GoDaddy. This is especially important if you plan on trying to resell some of the domains you are buying/registering. I've found from personal experiences almost everyone has a godaddy account. The same can't be said for namecheap!

I have personally used both providers and my vote is for Name cheap. They don't have as many promotions as Godaddy do but I've never had a problem with them as i have with godaddy.

I always used godaddy for some reason, but nowadays I find namecheap to be better and cheaper.

To me the dns manager and the general feel of the control panel on NameCheap is way better than GoDaddy, which i find to be slow, laggy and glitchy, godaddy will also bother me with constant emails about my domains expiring 3 months before they are going to expire, their renewal prices are also usually higher than on namecheap.

GoDaddy also supported SOPA, and IMO, they are a scumbag company.

    NameCheap all the way.
