Combining different methods is the best way to earn income in IM. Affiliate Marketing, Copy writing, a few gigs etc will make you to have a steady income. While one method may not work at a particular time, you will earn a few dollars in another area. Talk about the BCG matrix.
Never put all your eggs in one basket. Diversify Diversify Diversify. There are so many ways to make money online. Stick at what you're good at.
Totally agree with the above comments, you've got to diversify! Currently I promote 3 affiliate marketing products quite heavily and they are strong, long lasting businesses that are always training you and giving you what you need when it comes to marketing and generating sales. The best way is to see it for what it is: a business. Treat is in the same way as you would if you had just sunk all your money in opening a shop in the street. That way you won't be lazy or believe the dream of passive income peddled by marketers!
