"usage" of high paying keywords

ok, we all know that some keywords bring u 1 cent while others bring u 10$.. and its all a matter of keywords.

so, if i decide that i want to "take advantage" of some high paying keywords, lets say - web hosting, and make a directory or something related to it, articles maybe, where high paying kw will dominate, will that mean every click would be worth a few dollars (assuming relevant ads are displayed) or are there any other factors? i mean if i have a list of top paying keywords, whats the best way to use it, other than this?

You can't guarantee that you will always get the high paying keywords. Not only that, but usually the highest paying keywords are the lowest clicked. It's better to simply make a site that you actually care about and work hard at it, rather than trying to play with keywords.

nope, not with smart pricing, or unless your site has good conversion rate.

the high paying keywords although listed to pay around $5 - $10 per click, I have a website using those keywords for those ads, but is only paying $0.20 a click.

You need to find a branch within that high paying word otherwise the competition will kill you and your ads will be worth nothing. For instance if your high paying word is wine, your branch could be "red wine" or "french" wine. (and search how much those keywords are worth of)

I have one website that has around 14 % CTR and gives me $ 0.50 to $ 1.00 a click. Problem is I have very few visitors, like 20 a day. I have another site that gets a couple thousand visitors a day, and CTR is around 5% , but there I only get like 3 to 15 cent a click :/

Whatever you do dont base your site on a random list of keywords. Find a general topic that covers a few high paying keywords and then expand on that topic to form a coherent focus for your site. There is nothing worse than an obviously random unfocussed site and intelligent search engines (&people) know it straight away!

well, i have about ten sites, the most popular gets 100k visitors, huge amount of clicks, but the revenue is rather low (about 300$ per month). i know it's not all that low for some people, but if the clicks were higher paid, it could have been a LOT better, as most clicks are just a few cents.

so i was thinking, is it actually that simple, just to take high paying kw and use them... tdotn, how does it happen then? i know it also depends on WHO clicks the ads, like USA visitor of someone from india... the bid can vary a lot, that is why usa traffic is what everyone looking for.

darkbreed, is there any way to increase the CTR? i always see the different percentage for each of my channels, but never really understood what is it about...

anyway, thanks everyone for ur replies!

yeah, that is for sure, but if you have 10 clicks per day and each worth 0.09, you wont even have a dollar in the end of the day, however, if each click is 5$, you will get 50$ each day ;)
