Started a new design firm for a side job (hopefully to grow into full time) at www.digidogmedia.com

What do you think of the overall design?

First thing I noticed is that I can't get there.
In full disclosure, I am currently at work, wherein are browsing is controlled by WebSense. You might want to contact WebSense.com to get your site off the danger list before advertising it.
Here is the reasoning they give:
Security risk blocked for your protection
    Reason:
This Websense category is filtered: Potentially Damaging Content. Sites in this category may pose a security threat to network resources or private information, and are blocked by your organization.
    Code (markup):
I'll try again when I get home in a few hours.

Haha I hate websense!! We use it at my work also. The domain was just attached to DNS today so maybe it has a bit of time to figure it out.

I like the colors and clean look of the site, and the one page format with the smooth transition between sections (when clicking nav links) is pleasing to the eye.

However, and I'm not sure this was on purpose or not, but to my eye, it looks a bit sloppy. When you move to a new section, a piece of the following section is visible at the bottom of the window. I'm not sure if you were trying to give the user a subconscious cue that more is below, or if it is an accidental, not-quite-optimized vertical size. I'm more inclined to think the latter, as it only appears to happen at a resolution of 1280x1024 and above. at 1024x768 and below, the bottom is cut off, even when there is more information available in the section.

I see that you are targeting wordpress users as your main audience. Was that behind your choice to utilize wordpress as the back-end for your business' web site ? I'm not quite sure I'd agree with using that particular package for a business site, but then again, I'm not a wordpress fan. Might want to ditch those progress bars, too. They give the impression that you don't know anything but wordpress, when in reality, you probably have a bit more knowledge than they indicate. Let your work speak for your abilities.

I'd also suggest fattening up that portfolio page, even if it means you have to give away a few jobs. Go to local businesses and build them a presence online in exchange for being able to use their site in your portfolio. Nobody likes working for free, but sometimes you have to, in order get business down the road.

Reading through the source, it looks like you are targeting only HTML5-capable browsers. Ooooh. Not so sure this is a good move. You're cutting off a whole section of your potential customer base. Remember, some organizations might be stuck in the past as a company mandate. When they browse your site, they get the big middle finger, admonishing them to upgrade their browser, or download Chrome. Your website should be viewable in current generation as well as current-1. So HTML5 *and* HTML4.1.

The code seems exceptionally bloated, as is with most WP that I see. There are references to 14 CSS files, yet there is a pile of CSS code inline within the page. Seems to be lots of extra divs, that don't seem to be doing much other than taking up space. BTW, you have a stray opening <script> tag.

Keep in mind that potential customers are not just going to look at the visual aspects of your page, but are going to look under the covers, too. Your web page is your online presence, representing you and your abilities to the world. Flaws in your site are counted against you. Harsh truth, but it *is* truth.

Just a few opinions of my own, as well as humble observations. Visually (except for the item I noted above), the site is very appealing. Code-wise and business-wise, I would give it a little more love.

Firstly, the name Digi Dog, I love it.
As mentioned above I also like the one-page design and floating transition between the pages.

A few notes regarding this design. On my monitor 1600x1200 I can view one full page + the top of the next page. This is ok, but it would be awesome if you were able to auto-adjust the page size according to the browser menu (if above a certain value of course, below is irrelevant).
Only downside - I didn't notice the top right menu before starting to scroll down - so initially I viewed the website without using the menu. This is not a huge problem, however.

I would also consider giving slightly more information about the website/your services on the first page. Unless you believe everyone arriving at your website know exactly what you do or the purpose is for them to dig to find out them selves.

But overall a great design, good luck!

As everyone else has said, overall a good design mate. love the name.
When you first open the website the do graphic appears in two places (i.e. up the top and in the middle) - which i find a bit repetitive. might just need to put a new image in there.
Agree that more info should be put on the first page.
Perhaps start with the 'About' page rather - this page has fairly good aesthetics in my opinion, and is quite informative!

very close - almost there, well done!

I reckon, add a 4th service. Or center the 3.

With the "Team" disable the slider and the empty slides. And center the "Matthew Snider" slide.

Might want to consider the social links. Open them in a new tab, and your email link it broke.

Other wise, good work. Love the dog.

Also, change the address and phone number so that it's global like "1014 St Albans Road
    Baltimore, Maryland 21239, USA" and "+1 410-949-0087"(?)
