I'm sure many of you have heard of AdBlock which is a free plugin for most browsers which allows advertisements to be blocked from even displaying.

I personally use AdBlock but I allow advertisements from websites that I like, do you use AdBlock if so why?

Does this mean the end to the free internet? Some companies have started to get into product placement advertising rather than traditional TV, banners, magazines etc.

Adblocks sucks. I beleive every website should use a script which determines the adblock and ask user to disable it to view the site. Buysandsell ads have done it.

I use Ghostery, witch is basically the same thing. The main reason i installed it is cause of the annoyng youtube ads.Secondly because i have a slow internet connection and websites would load so slow because of the ads.Its pretty good.I`m sorry for you guys that run Adsense on your websites. But hey i wouldn't have clicked on any ad anyway, so you loose nothing from me using it.:D Cheers!

It freeze the browser. I have uninstall it. Ads are blocking but some of the banner/images are also blocked which is not involving in ads.

It's pretty good at detecting ads and removing them. You can disable it for specific areas or disable it entirely for a domain.

I believe that the two young who develop this deserve all my respect, they are living just from its donation, they do a great job, AdBlock is a core of discussion these days, it serves ones and break others. But people have the right to choose whether they want to see or not ads on their browsers, we all have the choice!
