    Hi all.

I posted this thread under Google

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=189811

After like 2 or 3 days, I get an infraction saying that this thread is not in the right category.

This is the actual message I received.

    Reason:
    -------
    Thread Started In Wrong Category

Thread is not about Google. Moved to SEO.
I think it has everything to do with google.

I don't know but I don't agree with getting an inraction and moving the thread.

If this was moved to seo then so should all pr update announcements as well.

You should not post about infractions instead contact any moderator if you think infraction is given by mistake well it's SEO related IMHO so i dont think moderators will reverse your infraction.Never ever post about infractions or rep becuase you will recieve alot of red reps!
    Saad :)

O ok, how do i contact a moderator?

The reason I had it in Google is because pr is specific only to google.

And everytime pr updates, there is always an announcement in the Google Forum, and not in the seo forum.

I agree with the thread starter. PR is specific only to Google. Yahoo/MSN don't havfe anything named PR. If it were something like search engine friendly URLS, or link building, then it should have been in the SEO forum because that applies to search engines in general.

No, because I thought that if u get 3 strikes, ur out,

and i got my first not long after signing up, so I thought if i get another, i will lose my username.

A friend of mine said the infraction will go away. :)

Ok, but I thought you can justify it? Well, just wait for the expiration of the infraction if thats your decision. :D

    Infractions do, indeed, expire

You need 10 points to get banned

But you'll never lose your username, just your access to the site.

And you don't get to pick which username is kept.
