cpc cost dropped -- Why and how to resolve

Hi All,

cpc cost dropped 0.05 from 0.10 with in last 7 to 8 what is reason .......?

How to improve that once again..

Something is amiss, as this is around the 12th person this week that's raised it either on a forum or emailed me. 2 clients mailed me yesterday with the same issue and 3 earlier on this week. It's hit me as well, one site down from 30-40c to 2-3c. This seems a wide spread problem that's developing. They are all stating the same thing, ads in the same place and traffic just as it was before. most odd

 

There would be a little fluctuation, it would be better if you work on traffic generation of your site, if your site has traffic, it would give money of course!

 

Check your site's traffic...try to increase it and see the effect again...

Same thing happen to me

 

I did contact Adsense support as I have privilege account with email response in 24 hours. They reviewed and said nothing is wrong with the change in traffic and it has more to do with the specific months when you see this downtrend or uptrend. Generally in beginning of year when advertising budgets are not decided or later in year when there is spending freeze such fluctuations in CPC do happen and are pretty normal. They mentioned to monitor the account for at least 2 months period and if it doesn't come back to normal there could be reason worth investigating. Otherwise monthly fluctuations are pretty normal. Hope this helps.

 

I can support this. I have one unit that for 5 years was averaging 30-40 cents a click. Now it's dropped to 15 cents for the past two weeks.

 

I have some problems in last 2 weeks. Every day my $30-40 is gone . I check stats many times in day , onece I look it is 100$ after 3-4 hours I check again it is $50-60. What is going on ???

 

Well that's funny.
I use chrome and I don't have adblock installed but all Adsense ads in any site are just blank.
Maybe here is the reason why you guys get less money.

 

It happens from time to time or maybe your account got smart priced.
Smart Pricing happens when the ads are not converting on your website.
