What keyword density percentage is better for my website content page?

Hi Help needed !
1) I wish to optimize two keywords in my web page content. What is the best % of Keyword density i should use?

2) If i wish to article submission (500 word article) what is the Keyword density of 2 keywords here?

Keyword density should typically be around 1-3%. Instead of focusing on percentages, focus on writing for humans. The rankings will follow, I promise.

In my point of view, keyword density should be 1.5 to 2 percent.
Write article on your personal tone.

 

Be on the point and don't troll. Add some pics and if possible some videos too.
HD pics will work.
Inter linking is also important.

Liked everyone's thoughts about it.I would like to add that 500-word article/content is good .Talking about keyword and its density, focus on its relevant placement. By this, I mean, place your primary keyword in the first 250 characters and mention in the last paragraph as well.

Also, use synonyms of your keyword which helps crawlers to have an idea about your article. By these variations of words, users feel good and do not raise eyebrows on keywords placement. And when users like your content, it would surely appease crawlers to boot.

Talking about computing keyword density, following helps:

If you have a 500-word article, and you want to maintain a 2% keyword density, you would repeat the keyword 10 times. That is calculated as (2 ÷ 100) × 500 = 10.By the same token, it is always good to employ synonyms of your keywords to be on the safer side.

Forget about keyword density and write for users. This is not 2007 it's 2013 and SEO has evolved.

Correct ! Thanks for the year-check ! Of course writing should be for people but SEO itself stands for optimizing our web-property according to search engine guidelines.We should maintain the blend of people's content as well as wooing SE to boot.Had it not been the case retweets, likes, shares etc would have not seen their respective presence. SEO takes time to evolve , that is why concept of SMO saw its presence.

Personally, I don't worry about keyword density. If you have your keywords once in your title, description and somewhere in the body, thats fine. The Google algorithms are extremely intelligent these days and will know what the content is about if write naturally.

 

If you want to play nice, I usually go for around 3% keyword density (+/- 1%). If you go for something like 5%+, you may get spanked for keyword stuffing the article.
