I have research and compared the pros and cons of MailChimp and Aweber. But I can't really justify spending right now in jumping right away with aweber. So since I am currently working on a lot of great original rich content. Working on 4-5 interviews with professionals in my niche, working on my first DIY Ebook, and working on a couple of articles. I plan on buying a pop up plugin and lock content on 2 specific categories. In order for the readers to have access to those will have to subscribe. Pretty confident this will work, never seen this type of content in any other website related to my niche. I will have MailChimp connected to my pop up to just collect the emails, my goal is to reach around 2K emails before exporting this list and moving to aweber. Both categories that will be content lock would be Interviews & DIY Guides. I figured this would also save me time and money from creating the ebook. So instead I would published those DIY on my categories and would still required an email to acces to it. Which was the idea with the ebooks, give them out for free in return for full name and email. Open to inputs, and ideas or suggestions. Come at me will not take anything personal is strictly business!
Personally I would go with Awber Right from the get go. Last year I was with another autoresponder company and When I transfer to Awber all my customers had to reconfirm their email This was a hassle in itself . They I had to redesign all my optin forms on my web pages .
Yea, also read about this somewhere and a solution to this, fix 2 things. Solution would be to send a good call to action, let's say you are really providing good newsletter. If they want to continue receiving them they wouldn't mind signing up to the new one. Letting them know "you will delete the old mail list". Those with a non active email or not interested in you no more will be discarding out themselves. Leaving you with a cleaner email list and active.
Seems o be a great idea. You are driven, the idea is quite well thought out. If the interviews work out then you should have a good foundation. But i agree, use aweber straight, why would you want to go through the hassle of transferring your list? Start out right and you won't have to worry about it. But a small suggestion from me, is to think more about how to market your website as well as what to include in your sales funnel. That would determine a lot of future product sales. PM me if you need help k? Cheers Howard.
While it's true that Aweber requires a double opt-in if you import a list, you can import a list into GetResponse and they do NOT require you to re-opt your list. Food for thought. But I concur with the others; I would either start with Aweber or GetResponse from the get go. I've never used mailchimp, and won't say it's bad, but I can tell you that both GetResponse and Aweber are both very good. PS: GetResponse is free for the first month, and Aweber is only $1 for the first month. If you play your cards right, you can develop revenue within your first month in order to justify the payment after 30 days. Hope this helps.
Now this changes the whole game plan, but if I can figure out how to start developing some revenue to at least cover aweber expenses would be a good way to start.
I have strong confidence the interviews will give me a huge boost and should give me a solid foundation. I will be PMing you soon serious, a bit tired right now lol have not slept. Was going to sleep early today but found out a hot topic going on right now in my niche, and was able to get some available pictures and threw an article together targetting a good keyword. Set it to be published around 7am. CandleKeep made a strong point, my main problem is I haven't been able to create some good backlinks. I have about 140 Likes on my FB fan page, have been slowly getting them and promoting my page. I have over 4 main soclial networks and trying to find a good Auto site to make a good guest post. I only have one clickbank aff link, got accepted to another aff program but I am suppose to have my account set up with CJ DOT COM and setting up my payment has been giving me problems not sure what's going on there. If anyone is familiar with that site let me know could use some help.
I am using a great new autoresponder service that you've already probably heard of called Pure Leverage. The idea is that as well as being cheaper than Aweber/Mailchimp etc it also provides you with the following: - complete auto responder system (with perfect inbox deliverability) - complete video email service - complete blogging and lead generation system - complete webinar service - complete video producing and video storage platform The price is $24.95 and you can have up to 5,000 subscribers with this level whereas Aweber only includes 500 for $19/month. If you have any queries about this let me know and I'll try help you out! Keep on truckin!
Haven't heard about this one yet, well google and look up to see what other disadvantages this has other than having more subscribers room. Really looking for a mentor willing to take me under their wing to get in to email marketing. So if anyone is really willing to teach me the ropes, I have skype.
