Almost no results from the press release I sent out yesterday morning. IMO, less than 5 visitors from the press release makes PR Newsire worthless for small businesses unless kim kardashian writes it herself.
Haha! Can Kim Kardashian write? Just wondering. Success with news releases depends a great deal on what keywords you are targeting. Are they static or are they fluid keywords. Static: Plumber in Boston Fluid: Kim Kardashian latest scandal News releases work best for fluid keywords. Keywords where you would expect the information to be continually updated. Also such things as new products, new films, new ipads etc. Check out some of these items and see how many have entries for things such as sbwire.
@dailybread2011 the first link in your sig. takes to google's main search page. Is it intentional? I just thought maybe you never noticed that. @Joe@AdPatron I always thought press releases is a thing of the past. But maybe not.
Why not try SBWire, we've had quite good results with them in the past and recently with press releases on our own projects. Had a release distributed today for http://www.a8muf.com/admarket/ our new advertising marketplace
I agree chinasnake. I have used sbwire and it ranks well. As I said above, when you go looking for products with fluid keywords, you will find heaps of sbwire links towards the top of Google. I haven't tried PR Newswire so can't comment on it.
I would have thought the value of press releases was in journalists/bloggers picking up the story, not in the direct traffic from the actual press release.
People no longer need to wait on journalists to write, there are many who watch feeds to stay ahead.... which is the best strategy for staying on top of events. Waiting on others is like the president finding out on FOX that the Russians already launched their nukes.
Press releases are also useful in that they can rank highly on Google for your product keywords. So when people search for those keywords they see your PR and click it to check it out. SBwire seems to rank best from what I have seen.
