What if I want to visit more than 10 adverts? Do I need to wait until tomorrow?

Well that's me signed up - I have an advert (only 100 pixels) on the original milliondollarhomepage so I may even buy some space on this one...

    Hey pondlife,

Are you getting much traffic from the original page?

Now I get it. I click on 10 ads per day and then voila, I get a crack at $100,000. Man that's the simplest $100,000 payday.

Well I did signup just out of curiosity today clicked a bit but the popup blocker just didn't let the sites open and the ones with redirects, well I didn't wait long enough for the redirect (still counted as a valid click) ... so I guess you'll get traffic if you buy space but non-targeted bogus visits. Better fill those sites with pop-ups unders lefts and rights so you can get your money back :)
    Just my 10c :)

    Creative?

The guy has basiclly ripped off his own idea.

In his blog somewhere, he basicly said "the million dollar homepage is a one off" -- now he's set another one up, with a differnt name. Charging double money, and will give away half for users who spam advertisers sites.

    This makes me laugh;

I sure hope he isnt talking about the pixelotto site!

Because if he is, he didnt have to wait all this time to make that.

He could have just as easy, used exactly the same milliondollar site, added a number "2" on the end, and started an empty grid. He would have made another million dollars just as easy. -- maybe easier, because this time, NOBODY with a site trying to sell a product should buy from pixelotto, because every click they get will be from people wanting the chance to win money. they will not be intreasted at all in the site they visit. i doubt they will even look at the site.

    Hi People,

In response to the above: it's never been more than 10 clicks per day. The advert cost my about 54GBP at the time but the exchange rate is even better these days so it's not too expensive even at $2 per pixel IMHO.

As for ROI, I haven't made a bean out of my site so far :)

I'm currently not spending any money on advertising but I did do some AdWords in the early days. At present I'm making a few cents per day from AdBrite ads.

I have some adult referal programs in place but, even after a year, I've not had any sign-ups. Stil not enough traffic I guess.

I'll keep plugging away with www.AddAnImage.com but I'm looking to diversify with something new... not sure what yet though!

...Until I make it rich (ooh that reminds me; I haven't checked my lottery tickets) I'm going to do my 10 daily clicks on pixelotto ;)

    Cheers, p.

You are off in so many ways. He was stating that the site was a 1 off because 50000 peoeple were copying him. Tweaking the idea and making a new site is not the same idea. We've all seen similar sites here with some exploding and some not. His timing was done purposly and simply adding a 2 would not have gone over the same. He is much smarter than most people give him credit for and he definately has you fooled. This guy could still be making money in 20 years hand over fist and people like you will be talking smack about each and every venture he does.

And now he's copying himself by doing something slightly differnt -- the idea of pixelotto would not work for ANYONE other then that guy. I'm glad he's found another way to use his original idea, but its not a NEW amazing idea that you can give him credit for. its just a way to make more cash.

There are so many twists you can put on the pixel idea but they are not original, it wouldnt have taken all this time to come up with that idea.

What about this, you buy a 10x10 pixel square, and if anyone rolls over it, a large centre square of 200x200 shows visitors a bigger ad? (not like the zoom feature, a real decent bigger ad thats included in the price of the 10x10 square)

Or how about a MineSweep style pixel ads? certain squares expand from the standard 10x10 squares, and you could win more ad squares just by picking the right square to buy?

Both of them ideas, if i set them up wouldnt make much money, if he set them up, they would fill very quickly. -- And they both are better ideas then the pixelotto -- because as i said, every click is going to be a person just wanting to be entred into the "lotto", nobody is going to give a shiit about the site they clicked on.

And i'm not "talking smack about each and every venture he does." (i dont know what this means), but im not going to insult every idea he has, just the bad ones. His first idea was amazing, it had me wishing i thought of it first, it was very cleaver and so simple. This idea isnt.
