2 Turkish hackers called psych0 and tontonq hacked woltlab.info on 2th December. All user licenses (30.000+), special scripts and DBs got dumped. Right now woltlab.info is unaccesable because woltlab crew stopped the apache because of the defaces that have been made. No visible proof yet, but I guess woltlab would announce this soon.. So what do you think how those licenses and all other goods(!) can be appreciated?
i also got message from onthespothosting.net that some one is trying to hack and they warn me of unassociated mails from their host.
I'll never understand how a hackers mind works, they obvously have inteliigence why use it in such a backwards way.....
A hacker minds is either. 1. Hatrid: They did something to them, and this REVENGE!!! I know, because i had this feeling for another site (not stateing which). 2. Fun: They get kicks out of f*cking up others peoples sites, business's and this type of hacking is disgraceful. I must admit, this latest hack is somewhat predictable, because everything is getting hacked. I have quit webmastering and i am quitting altogether because of hacking.... i think getting hacked 13times in 1 year is enough.... Rob
13 times in 1 year? crazy... you should have used a better host or used secure scripts. you should reconsider quiting ;-) this is the best job you can have.
What have you been up to? I think getting hacked happens to everyone once in a while, but definitely not 13 times in one year. What did you do to piss them off???
Most site get hacked if webmasters use old or insecure scripts. When ever you get hacked, try to find how hacker got in, if you find and fixed this, you will not get hacked again. If you just deleted hackers file and reuploaded your insecure scripts again, you will again get hacked.
no im not a hacker :S we are just playing and then we found a hole then we entered the system , we didnt want to damage server , just took a look 2 database ^^
