Hello Shawn, hello moderators and DP members.

I have made bad experience with Indians in the past years. I have been ripped here 5-6 times for 1 year from INDIANS.

Is someone else facing the same problem? Can this country be baned so we can buy and sell little bit safer?

Why not use escrow service? Or don't do business with Indians yourself if you don't want?

That is your prerogative, however we have plenty of valued members in this forum who are from India. Rather than us acting as a "nanny" we expect our members to do their own homework or due diligence before entering into any transaction. The greater the value, the more time that should be spent.

its the internet... we are all having the same problems.
I will not say that it is the 'indians', but I think you will find that the majority of everyone here is looking for a quick buck, (and not to provide a fair and reasonable service at a fair price).

I would prefer it if we just ban all non-Australians, problem solved. :p

Ban all members from India? So what other country will be next on your list? Show us the list so we can at least see it coming. Maybe instead of DP banning members from an entire nation, you should learn how to do business better and not get taken so often.

Maybe, if we're throwing around national stereotypes we can just let everyone know that Austrian's are easily conned? Should we ban them for their own safety?

In some forums, this post my results getting you banned :)
    indeed human rights forums.

Human rights guide section 4.5.6.133 "Humans and aliens have rights to join forums"

    Just kidding :)

I recommended you to use escrow services or such that protecting buyer and seller as well.

At one point I blocked a bunch of IPs of the countries from where most scam related ads came from (not going to mention them by name). We're taking about thousands of IP ranges. I quickly found out it is not good for the business. Maybe sites like craigslist can afford something like that, for the rest of us ANY traffic can be a gold mine.

I used to get directory submissions from realtors in America (was running a real estate directory) and when I went to check their sites would find they banned all APNIC countries. I guess it doesn't matter because their real clients would mostly be local but such wholesale banning can be dangerous. Pity the American financial whiz in working in Hong Kong who wants to move back home and buy something lavish.

Use escrow whenever you deal online, simple and safe solution
Use Teamviewer to verify if the item is legit, ask for proof
Don't discuss stuff unrelated to business, take screenshot, record conversations and you will be safe in most cases
