Guys, When we do internal linking for our website. then we can link the page itself. i mean if my linking page is "http://www.gempundit.com/gemstones/amethyst" and i want to link this page itself with "amethyst stone". So that is good internal linking practices.
dear couldn't understand your view point.. if you want to know about the internal linking. dear it is very much important you should give links to different pages from different page.
Some peoples think this is good idea while I think this is bad idea. We should go back to what is the function of link. Link is to show visitors (bots or human) if there is another page related with current page. Give a link to itself (same page) has no effect on SEO. I hear Google would slap any pages whom linking page to itself. Why? Because by linking page to itself, there would be higher chance it would inflate the impression by reloading the page. Surely we understand this is bad practice. It just about times, Google would slap this method. The funny thing about it is, I hear Bigger Ads company including Adsense really hate this method.
First, you need to understand what is internal linking. Mainly we are using internal linking for flowing PR of your site and interlink your related pages. If I am talking about your site then just interlink your related page that’s fine.
That's not it is called internal linking. Internal Linking means Links from your website home page to inner pages of website.
