Buy now or add to cart? Which one is better?

My previous posts were buy now buttons where a visitor clicks and goes to Amazon product page. Now I changed it to go directly to add to cart. The problem is Amazon will not add that product to cart automatically but asks the visitor to confirm if he wants to add to cart. I know the add to cart cookies are of longer cookie of 90 days. But I think Amazon asking visitors to confirm distracts people. Which one is better based on your experience?

 

I have the same question.. or how about adding the word AMAZON ? which is a better button..

 

If you intend adding the word Amazon in a domain name then I think it is illegal.

 

Sorry, what i meant is the call to action button.. not the domain name..

Are you still using the same plugin? I just use it to grab some info from amazon..

 

Ya I use that plugin but Google is kicking my a**. The sites start generating traffic and sales then the big G comes and destroys them after some time. Well I am trying to see my options.

 

Same here.. But i got my money back.. I try another thing but sales is next to 0..

 

I have been trying to make money for the past 6 yrs and the total money I made so fat might be close to 13,000 usd. I never made big numbers. But I strongly believe that breakthrough is nearer than ever and once I make it big there shpuld be no return! that is it!

 

I personally use "Buy Now" and send visitors to the product overview page for 2 main reasons:
1. Less confusing for the visitor
2. Amazon is good at what they do (Selling) why send the visitor to the cart when you can send them to the overview page where they can get more information and potentially purchase "related" products as well

 

I used to like the cart when you were able to put it in an iframe and amazon wasn't asking the users to confirm the items into the cart when they got to amazons landing page. On my amazon stores now I enable the Buy at Amazon buttons but also leave the cart option for my sites. I found this to work best for my stores.

 

I don't know why the add to cart link shows "your shopping cart is empty" message when the page loads? I have already changed my posts from add to cart to buy now button but the previous posts are as is. But when they are clicked they either are not correct or the product may not be available from teh country I am checking in. Check and tell me pls. The link below;

I notice this, on my site ASIN.1 - it has . while in the stats it is change to ASIN_1 like you have.. i think it is something to do with cookies..

 

Then I have to go through the posts and make them "buy now".

 

I go for buy now. It`s more direct, it`s practical, it says "you`ll have the product in a couple of minutes".
