THANK YOU guys for ALL the entries in the contest! We've seen some awesome logos in this contest and it was really, really hard to choose a winner. There have been many, many discussions between my partner and myself; and we had to consult with many other business partners to check their opinions. In the end (it took us a while), the winner of the contest is the user daraptor with an entry via PM: He will come here to confirm as well. Files have been received and payment has been sent. FEEDBACK - or WHY did we choose this particular logo. Maybe it will help you guys for future logo entries for contests. It was the most professional logo submission we have received; just look at all the variations, b&w, grayscale, mock-ups, standalone icons / favicons. That in itself is bonus points. Logo is great in itself and it feels and looks 2013; it looks good in just black and we can easily see it work well in print too (on a business card for example). And the concept behind it is great, with the core on the letter "O" which we love. Plus nice colors and easy to remember icon, which is great for branding purposes. We like the fact that this logo is actually quite simple, instead of being "too much" and too complex. Thanks again everyone for yet another great logo design contest here on Digital Point Forums! I'm sure I'll be back whenever I need a logo.
Nobody informed me you were in the business of selling phillips head screws along with the marketing thing.
Dear John, I'm not sure I understand your comment completely or find it very appropriate. If all you can see in the logo that won is a crosshead screw, then I'm sorry for you. Here's a hint: try and look at it as the core being on the inside and the surface being separated to reveal it. And to keep my reply on the same note as yours, it was probably pretty obvious from the beginning that I'm not in the eaten apples industry as well (see your logo) Regards, -Eduard
congrats to the winner....and thanks ES for posting comments... the world's still spinning in its conventional way i guess...
No worries - thanks as well for your entries! I feel it's mandatory to post comments and feedback for every entry - the only way for the designers to know what's in your mind and what works from their entries.
