Ok so this happened yesterday because I could not remember my password so I Reset my password. Then my account got so emailed support and they asked for documentation of the payment methods account holder so I sent documentation.

They then email me back "We are requesting an unaltered copy of the payment method account holder’s government-issued photo identification" Since when should I not be allowed to cover out my face. Just to clarify I am blurring out my mom's face because I made the payment on her card.

It's a joke my host and been down for almost 2 days and I can't switch host because I can't change my DNS. On their website they say "we will authorization code for resetting your password to the email address associated with your account". No mention of having to send all these id's

Ask the customer support why you didn't get the email with authorization code, or your account is hacked?

    Dude, are you serious?
This itself would raise all sorts of alarm bells.
In the first place, there really isn't an issue with having a different account holder and payer name.
However, since you've tried to hide this fact, Godaddy will now obviously request a higher level of authentication from you.

Call them and explain. There should not be anything wrong with using your mothers credit card.

and 3 months later, the mom will do a charge back, which means the hosting company will lose its money AND have to pay approx $25 in fees.

It is fair and reasonable, to request proof of identity to prevent fraud. Tell me, what is the difference between you using your mums credit card and id (with face blurred) and your neighbours using your credit card mums and id (with face blurred)? None. In both cases, your mum can call her credit card company and dispute the charges.

Just send in all the documents they request, jump through all of their hoops, get your mum to call them if need be, and get your account unlocked.
FYI, there is a good reason why i prefer namecheap.

Well my mom told me to blur out her face because can you trust someone with something like that? Someone could easily turn it into a US passport.
They have got the most important part after all..

But she agreed to let me send her ID without her face blurred

Good. The issue will be resolved then.
For future reference though, you can write a remark across the scanned copy without blocking any of the texts (for instance, "For GoDaddy Only" or "For ABCD Application Only").
