Oh I already know that. But politicians use it as a means. You know, there is one thing that I find very interesting. Whenever a topic like this is brought up, its always bashing some Bible, Quran, Jesus, etc. LOL (Hmmm, must have been some sort of negative happening at some church, most likely in their young or teen years...BINGO hit the nail on the head... ) I wonder if Buddhism and Evolution can co-exist? Or how about the people that bled the country dry of the resources where they are partying and the others are dying? Sooo I take it that if God let people do what they like - blamed if BS happens Sooo I take it if God saves a bunch of people all the time - blamed for being controlling... Well, talk about damned if you do, damned if you don't.
I guess, since looking good is apparently a lot more important in our society than being a real and honest person, unfortunately.
I believe in God and he has given us the ability to link creation and science together. I believe in 100 years from now they will laugh at us for believing in evolution, because science will point to a creator. There will be arguments on whom created the world, but the evidence will be clear that evolution was impossible.
what your religion btw,.. can you explain this.. sometimes you can explain how god work,.. but you can see it..
What a pejorative thread title. Why not start one that says, "Do you believe in atheism or common sense?"
It's hard to believe in both because, they are not compatible. On one side religion is telling you that the world was created 5,000 years ago or 2,000, depends on the religion but at the same time science says that the world has been there for millions of years. Science it's all.
No, that's dogma with the word 'science' tacked onto it. The two are compatible if the dogmatic secularist approach to the subject is set aside. Science is not a person who 'says' anything, and the evidence is subject to alternative interpretations. Isaac Newton believed the world was created 6,000 years ago, and most all scientists through the time of Darwin were believers in a recent Creation, based on the evidence as well as their faith.
I personally believe in Science, because to me science makes more sense than god to me. Science is something I can understand. If god is real or isn't real it is hard for me to understand something you can't see or understand.
I'm living my life for fun, experiences and well, life. God isn't real, Stephen Hawking already proved the universe doesn't need a divine being to create the Universe. Anyways, I'm the only God here.
A wise man once said, history is written by the victor, along with, all religion is created by man. Religion is a tool used to control the masses. Here's a simple example... If you're familiar with Roman Mythology/Roman civilization, consider this. Their civilization was extremely corrupt and violent. Now look at their Mythology, or religion if you will. The similarities are rather apparent, and can be applied to every religion/civilization known to man. Here's another example, the Vikings were some of the fiercest, and fearless warriors to ever grace the planet. Why? Simple, their religion told them that if they wanted to have ever lasting peace in Valhalla (their version of Heaven), you had to die a violent and honorable warriors death. If you're skilled with analogies and the conceptual evolution of things, as am I, you can apply these similarities to the current world. Just don't go and tell everybody this, the world needs religion.
Sadly, this is the truth. I can't find anything good in any religion to overpower the bad in them, but mankind has already sunken too deep into its own filth to get clean again.
