I see a lot of people asking about eCommerce SEO so I thought I'd share how I rank my stores very easily in Google. I focus on ranking product pages instead of generic niche keywords because it's easier and because when a customer searches for a specific product they are usually looking to buy. Here's how I format mine: URL: www.mysite.com/supplier-name-product-name-sku# Page Title: Supplier Name Product Name | SKU# Meta Keywords: Supplier, Name, Product, Name, SKU# Meta Description: Buy the Supplier Name Product Name SKU# at mystore.com. We have the best price and free shipping on all [insert niche] products. __ I typically use supplier provided content for my product descriptions (on my website, not meta descriptions) and all my product pages rank VERY high organically. - Anton
Thanks for sharing your strategy..i think brand name with product name will help to search product organically.
Thanks for sharing. Why are you not using supplier descriptions in your meta descriptions, specifically? May be a stupid question but I'm pretty new to this stuff.
I find that if I keep my meta descriptions short and simple (like shown above) my product pages will rank higher. I do however, use supplier descriptions as the descriptions on my actual product pages.
Actually need to work on your brand name i,ts will beneficial for you and thanks for sharing best idea about Ecommerce web development. thanks & Regard James Smith Uber Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
It does - anything that "buyers" are searching for will lead to excellent traffic. Once a customer is ready to make a "buying" decision they typically Google the brand name, product name, and SKU#. If you target these keywords rather then generic niche keywords you should see much better results in terms of conversion rates. Good Luck! Anton
Your meta description should be a sales pitch, it's only impact on SEO is indirect from CTR, but you want a high CTR anyway, so time should be spent creating and optimizing it. In the case of your example, using best price and free shipping is great (as long as you have the best price) Saying "Buy xx xx xxx" Is good, but it may put of some potential on the fence buyers. (Not saying that is right or wrong, ut could be worth testing.)
A small issue I find with doing this is that you often find yourself competing against Amazon product pages. When this happens your chances of your resilt being clicked become slim.
in ecommerce site we must be use a brand name and canonical tag, also use anchor text with brand name, i think this is a a very useful for website ranking.
