I've been doing some research, looking for a good reseller host. I don't need too much right now, only have 2-3 clients that definitely want their own website and a handful of prospective clients. I only want to spend $20-30/month to start, and Hostgator's 'Aluminum' package looked perfect. I was about to purchase it, but after reading through the posts here in Web Hosting, I see many of you are NOT impressed with the customer service decline since they were bought out by EIG. That made me freeze in my tracks. So, for those not happy with Hostgator, who would you suggest? Who would you use if you could move (or are planning to move) your hosting to another service?
Lovely bit of self promotion there cesaurasean. Personally I have been with a UK web host for the past year and a bit, fantastic service, great help and awesome accounts. www.starwebhosting.co.uk Uptime is good, support is fast. Win win!
Do you have any space/bandwidth requirements in mind? Also specific characteristics such as CloudLinux, LiteSpeed, SSD, Softaculous, etc?
Softsyshosting.com i will suggest with 99.99% Uptime Guarantee, 24/7/365 Techsupport services. Reasonable Rates. Make your own brand with Windows Reseller program, With personal and Enterprise level packages.
Hawk host are pretty good and have a 25% discount offer at the moment. If you want UK based newdot looks good value. I have not used the latter yet but did buy a site from the owner and the transfer service was good. I couldn't recommend hostgator they were great a few years ago but went down hill quickly. I had two hosting accounts with them which have now been moved.
Many companies provide Reseller Web Hosting with Turnkey solutions. Such web hosting providers would be best to consider. You can differentiate among them regarding which company is providing better features, addons etc with Reseller Hosting.
Turnkey reseller plans can offer many additional revenue generating features that will allow you to have a more robust reseller business in place. Clients who have more options to purchase additional items like SSL certificates and domains not only make more money for the reseller but they are also generally happier clients when you can fill the gap for the services they need. Consider web hosts that can provide you with the most additional ways for you to boost your income.
I got my reseller from Go Daddy. AverageJoeHosting.com Check out the layout. I'm pretty happy with it. I have quite of few of my clients set up there and the buy rates for the super package are steller as you can see from what I'm able to price my services at. Good luck! ps. They offer cPanel in shared environments via resellers and Plesk is coming soon.
