Hey Guys, I have used many domain registrars to buy domains in India. From godaddy to bigrock. Last incident happened with me was very funny. I booked a domain from godaddy and used coupon code for discount. So if I use coupon code during domain purchase then the local payment gateway CCAvenue option will disappear for me. I contacted customer care they said that I have to purchase at least 500 INR or more then CCAvenue will be available for me, thats so funny . Please share if you have any funny incident like this, have a great day.
No problem in buying domains with price less than Rs500 using CCAvenue. The customer care don't have any idea what they are talking.
Godaddy is very popular worldwide, and it has separate customer support office for Indian customers, so you can use Godaddy as well... when you land on Godaddy then the url would something like this http://in.godaddy.com/ You can pay in INR, you are allowed to use many payment methods, so it provides flexibility too.
GoDaddy is worst registrar as far as our experience is concerned. We are in industry since Oct 1998 and we have tested all the big hosts and registrars. In our view, ResellerClub is the best and most convient registrar. Regards, Toniya
Well I have tried many times but when I do not use coupon code then CCAvenue goes appear but when I use any coupon then it disappear . It is not a big deal for me I have other options like bigrock etc but it is funny .
I have used Godaddy quite frequently , they do their service well , even with tech support & sales support. As others said there is India specific tech support , whom I called few times & resolved issues. Post any other registrars if you have personally used in India , so that others can try.
Godaddy is best. The main thing I like about Godaddy is that sometime I can get a domain in just 1$. Also, am satisfied with their services. I've never used BigRock.. and also, I don't feel like using it when we have some other better option like Godaddy, Net4, etc..
