Ok, not only is that some of the WORST advice out there, given what absolutely absurd train wrecks of asshat garbage those "frameworks" result in, on the whole defeating the entire POINT of modern markup and using CSS...

They have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH ARFAT's QUESTION.

See, you missed one little detail -- WAP... not HTML. None of those you listed provide WAP versions of the pages built with them.

@arfat, we need more information on what you are doing and what you already have -- "I need some CSS file" is pretty darned vague. Do you already have the site outputting WAP? If not, why do you want it since smartphones have pretty much made WAP go the way of the dodo. (Not that anyone other than a handful of forum softwares ever bothered with it in the first place).

Is it old fashioned WAP 1, meaning it can't even DO CSS, or is it WAP 2.0 / XHTML1 MP? If the latter then sure, you can use a subset of CSS, but it's really restricted to match the restrictions of WAP aware devices. Also beware that even if you're using 'mobile profile' XHTML, not all devices will honor your CSS...

... which of course is another reason WAP is a relic best left in the previous decade in favor of XHTML 1.0 Strict marked up semantically for less capable devices, with CSS3 targeting media="screen" (hopefully being ignored on legacy mobile)

RESPONSIVE CSS FRAMEWORKS YOU RUDE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You think your opinion is the only one that's right. I think you are shy in real life but come on the forums and act the big guy.

Get out of your mum's basement and stop being such a keyboard warrior.

Which has WHAT exactly to do with WAP?!? Oh wait, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Since apparently you've never even heard of it...
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_Application_Protocol

"Responsive CSS frameworks" have absolutely jack **** to do with that... and that's without talking about what idiotic half-assed sleazy shortcuts pissing away accessibility and simplicity of code, much less bandwidth the very notion of a CSS framework is.

Of course, god forbid anyone point out what crap that idiocy is... Status quo for the mike foxtrot /win/ -- NOT!

Seriously, do you not listen? Get out of your mum's basement. Go outside and get some air, you sound really stressed.

The future of the internet well it is now is responsive. Do phones even use WAP any more? Building a responsive layout in a CSS framework or Boilerplate makes perfect sense unless there's a specific reason from the client not to.

@HuggyStudios: deathshadow is indeed rude crude and uncouth. He is seldom wrong*, though. You did not offer a suggestion to switch from WAP, an xml based protocol, to HTML, a whole 'nuther thing. Your solution will simply not work against a wap coded document.

Now whether ds lives in his mother's basement is not at issue; such an ad hominem argument is uncalled for and does not further your cause in the least. Better would be to further explain how to apply your solution or to admit you failed to notice the OP was asking about a WAP site.

As to your comment regarding responsiveness being the future, it always has been. That's what reflowing is all about. It's just that recently UAs have become more supportive of more direct author control.

    cheers,

    gary

    * He does fail to understand that in a structural markup language, HTML, the structural definition of the paragraph, p, element should be used.**

** As I look back, I think the whole purpose of this comment may have been to get this little dig in. ;)
